How Can I Prevent Scarlet Fever?

Homeopathic Remedies as a Natural Preventative of Scarlet Fever

There is ONE truly great prophylactic Homeopathic Remedy which has been well proven as a preventative of Scarlet Fever. A ‘Prophylactic’ is the medical term for ‘preventative’.

This prophylactic for Scarlet fever is a well-tried homeopathic remedy called Belladonna. Homeopathic Belladonna was proven by Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathic medicine. He found Belladonna to be a good and effective homeopathic preventative for Scarlet Fever. It is a perfectly safe and natural remedy to use as a preventative for this disease.

Important Note: Belladonna in its natural organic state is extremely toxic. The plant Belladonna should never be used to create a medicine. In Homeopathic Remedies, only a trace of the original plant or mineral is used in solution. Then, this dilution is further diluted. And then diluted again, and so on. The plant material, or other mineral or compound used, cannot be detected in the finished product, yet there is a powerful vibrational force within the potion, which corresponds to the original plant. It is this force which inspires the immune system of the body to get into gear and throw off the disease, which the chosen remedy has targeted.

W.A. Dewey says that “Hahnemann’s discovery that Belladonna is a prophylactic in scarlet fever has been abundantly verified in practice”, which sounds like an excellent recommendation. The effectiveness of Homeopathic Belladonna would seem to deem vaccination unnecessary: Belladonna will not harm a person’s immune system, whereas vaccinations have the potential to upset the immune system. This quote from W.A. Dewey above, comes from page 322 of his book entitled: “Practical Homeopathic Therapeutics”. This book is published by B Jain Publishers, PVT, New Delhi- 110 055.

Using Homeopathic Belladonna as soon as an outbreak of Scarlet Fever occurs may save your child from getting the disease. At least, the remedy should help to minimize the effects of the disease, and to shorten the duration of the illness.

We should allow that the new strain of Scarlet Fever which has developed in Hong Kong, may not respond as well to Belladonna treatment as the old, common variety of Scarlet Fever did. However, it is very likely that the characteristics of the disease remain the same, and so Belladonna should still act the same way – as a preventative, or prophylactic to use the medical term, on this new strain.

Vitamin C As Natural Treatment For Scarlet Fever

Mega doses of Vitamin C have been proved to inhibit bacteria and virus growth. This fact makes Vitamin C extremely potent as an anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent, thus making it effect as a Prophylactic for Scarlet Fever and other infections. Vitamin C therapy has been closely researched by many top research doctors, one of them being Dr Goodhope, who comes from Melbourne, Australia. He has used Vitamin C therapy successfully in the treatment of Swine Flu, which is a particularly voracious disease to cure. From his studies, and from my own experience with Vitamin C, I would guess that Vitamin C taken in large doses several times a day would combat Scarlet Fever.

Taking a good amount of Vitamin C on a Daily Basis could work as a prophylactic, so that the Scarlet Fever was avoided completely, or lessened in its effect. For an adult of average weight, I would use 1000mg of Calcium Ascorbate three times a day, while any epidemic was rampant. I would halve this dose for a young teenager who might be at risk of getting Scarlet Fever. For a child between three and five years, I would give two doses of 500mg per day, just while the infection was around. Then, after several days, I would reduce the amount to one dose of 500mg per day. If the motions become too loose, then you reduce the dose, or stop for a day.

Since children between three and five years of age are most susceptible to the Scarlet Fever infection, I would also give the child a low-potency Halibut Oil capsule daily, for three days. This will also help as a Prophylactic for Scarlet Fever. Do not use the especially high potency, but the average low-strength capsules.

When my children had infections of any kind, I found that giving an extra amount of Halibut Liver oil capsules helped to bring the infection down very quickly. If they were sick, then I doubled the dose just for around 24 hours.

Colour Therapy: Blue Lighting For Scarlet Fever and other Infections

Although I have not tried this, since my children never had Scarlet Fever, I am confident that using Blue lighting will help children who already have succumbed to this disease. Blue Light helps to reduce red inflammation, which there obviously is quite a bit of in Scarlet Fever, as the name signifies.

Using colour therapy to treat Scarlet Fever, or any other fever, is quite straight-forward. All you do is to buy a low-wattage blue bulb, and put it into the light socket in your child’s room. If the infection is severe, you can leave the light going for most of the night. But, as the fever comes down, you need less of the blue lighting. So keep a watch – when there is an improvement, you reduce the exposure to the blue light. Turn it off for a few hours. Turn it on again only if the fever is still there and the child is restless.

Scarlet Fever Outbreak in Hong Kong/Homeopathic Alternatives

Homeopathic Belladonna is the classic remedy for Scarlet Fever. It will help prevent it if given at the first sign of an outbreak. It is also one of the best remedies to help to cure it if you get the illness. More about this later on:

Who Is Susceptible to Scarlet Fever: Children under the age of five are usually more susceptible to Scarlet Fever, but children up to the age of 15 can succumb to this childhood illness. Scarlet Fever is not usually life threatening these days. Scarlet Fever has not been so much of a problem illness since antibiotics such as penicillin were invented. Penicillin and other antibiotics have been effective in bringing Scarlet Fever outbreaks under control, because they kill off the germs which cause Scarlet Fever. But there is a down-side to using antibiotics, or vaccines, for the common childhood illnesses:

Scarlet Fever In Hong Kong: The trouble with this new Scarlet Fever outbreak in Hong Kong is that it seems to be a particularly virulent strain which might have mutated, or immunized itself somehow against the common antibiotics which are used to treat the illness. It does not seem to be responding to antibiotics.

Now this IS a worry, because it suggests that the Scarlet Fever bacterium may have gotten so strong BECAUSE of our use of antibiotics to manage the common childhood diseases. Bugs find other ways to survive if they are bombarded with antibiotics. They become stronger, and more resilient.

And this is always the concern which people have about child immunization, because the more vaccines, or immunizations, or innoculations that your child is given, the weaker your child’s immune system becomes. This means that your child’s immune system might be weakened to such a large degree that it cannot naturally fight off any unknown diseases, such as new strains of the common illnesses.

Vaccinations Weaken The Immune System: If a child is continually being vaccinated for this or that, then that child’s system will expect the help of a vaccine for anything and everything which comes along. Their systems will not be able to tackle these new diseases. When the day comes that there is not a vaccine to protect your child, because the disease has suddenly mutated and formed a new strain of bacteria, then there will be serious cause for concern.

Alternatives To Antibiotics: Of course, if your child is sick, then you must see a Doctor. But in the meanwhile, you might be interested in finding out more about the natural remedies and treatments for scarlet fever which are listed below.

Natural Remedies For Scarlet Fever/Vitamin C and Homelopathy

Vitamin C Therapy: Remember that large quantities of Vitamin C, especially Calcium Ascorbate, or Ester C, have an antibacterial and antiviral effect: This treatment has been proven to be effective in the treatment of Swine Flu, and many other disease. But you could go to a Homeopathic doctor, or an Ayurvedic medicine practitioner, BEFORE your child gets sick, to investigate the alternatives of treatment for these childhood illnesses.

How To Prevent Scarlet Fever:

Hahnemann, who discovered Homeopathy, discovered that Homeopathic Belladonna is a prophylactic in Scarlet Fever. This is an incredibly useful piece of knowledge in the case of a Scarlet Fever outbreak, as a prophylactic is a PREVENTATIVE.

Belladonna is a preventative of scarlet fever. So, you would begin taking the Homeopathic Belladonna as soon as there was a warning about an outbreak, BEFORE your child got the infection.

More On Belladonna as a Natural Remedy For Scarlet Fever: W.A. Dewey says in his book “Practical Homeopathic Therapeutics“, that Belladonna for preventing Scarlet Fever “has been abundantly verified in practice.” We do not know for sure that this new strain will also respond to Belladonna, but it is quite likely that Belladonna will be just as effective.

Homeopathic Sulphur is reputed to be the next best thing for the treatment of Scarlet Fever. (see W.A. Dewey)

I found Homeopathy to be a wonderful alternative to allopathic medicine and antibiotics. It seemed to be especially effective in treating my children, I think, because children generally are quite sensitive, and so they respond well to Homeopathy. People who have used mountains of antibiotics and other medications do not respond so well to Homeopathic treatment, because their systems have become hardened through long term use of medications.

Homeopathic Remedies: So here are some Homeopathic remedies which have been used to treat Scarlet Fever. Again, I urge you to go to a Homeopathic practitioner, or an Ayurvedic professional, before your child gets sick.

If your child is sick, then do not hesitate – go to the doctor.

Generally speaking, only one remedy should be used at a time. You can buy an Aconite, Belladonna, Chamomilla mixture at most health shops, called ABC. This is a good general remedy for many children’s ailments, and it might still be good for treating or preventing Scarlet Fever. However, for a serious disease, the remedy needs to be chosen carefully. Each remedy has a specific action, and so the ‘case’ needs to be examined thoroughly before deciding on a remedy.

List of The Most Common Remedies for Scarlet Fever: Belladonna; Gelsemium; Bryonia; Ailanthus; Rhus toxicodendron; Lachesis; Ammonium carbonicum; Zincum. These remedies are outlined in the book “Practical Homeopathic Therapeutics” by W.A. Dewey, B. Jain Publishers PVT. Ltd. New Delhi. He also states that Homeopathic Belladonna was discovered by Hahnemann to be a prophylactic of Scarlet Fever: It prevents Scarlet Fever.

Other Homeopathic remedies which W.A. Dewey indicates could be useful for different stages of the disease are: Cuprum; Calcarea carbonica; Kali sulphuricum; Rhus tox; Arsenicum; Sulphur. Of course, only one remedy would be chosen out of this list, perhaps to follow up the treatment which might have begun with Belladonna, or Gelsemium. Get some professional advice, unless you know your Homeopathic medicines.

Alternative Medicine Undermined By Drug Companies

Did you know that many doctors all over the world effectively use homeopathic remedies. There are many medical doctors who have studied homeopathy extensively, and who prefer to use homeopathy instead of conventional drugs.

The thing which drug companies hate most of all is preventative medicine and alternative medicine of any kind. They especially hate homeopathic medicine, because it represents a very real threat to allopathic medicine: Just as there is a drug for every different complaint in allopathic or conventional medicine, , so there is a specific remedy for every illness, every infectious disease, for every body-type and emotional type, in the homeopathic tradition.

But homeopathic medicine is also a preventative medicine, and this is a factor which makes drug companies very jealous. Homeopathy is an extremely sophisticated medicine, which common drugs just cannot compete with. Also, given the right treatment in homeopathic medicine, after the patient has been stabilized, there is not usually any need for on-going ‘medication’. So homeopathic medicine is not profit-driven.

This is the antithesis of the modern drug experience: Drug companies and their acolyte doctors would have us believe that their drugs are necessary for the ‘rest of your natural life’, once you begin taking them. This dependency on their drugs means that drug companies and those doctors who prescribe their drugs, are assured of on-going profits, of course.

Homeopathy is a real threat, because remedies are made just so cheaply, that there is not really a lot of money to be made from them. This, again, contrasts vastly with commonly prescribed drugs which are often very costly.

There was an article in last Sunday’s Herald, 24th April, 2011, by Dr Shaun Holt, who wants to see all doctors prohibited from using homeopathic remedies. The drug companies must just love this man. He is the kind of doctor that drug companies get to do their ‘research’, because he is biased in the first place, on the side of the drug companies. Even the “Lancet” has articles by drug-company friendly doctors who are paid to do research which is jacked up to suit the marketing needs of the drug companies. It makes me wonder who funded Shaun Holt’s books on ‘research’ into natural medicines.

Now, Shaun Holt really seems to know nothing about homeopathy. He calls it ‘quackery’, yet I would bet my bottom boots that he has never ever consulted a homeopathic practitioner to try a prescribed remedy for any given complaint, and that he has never followed a patient’s progress through a treatment from an experienced homeopath.

He calls it ‘quackery’, yet there is a long tradition of homeopathic medicine in the United Kingdom which predates his modern drugs by a long shot. The Royal family have always had their own residential private homeopath. There is a Royal College of Homeopaths in London, endorsed by the Queen, and several well reputed hospitals which prescribe homeopathic medicine instead of the usual drugs which are marketed by profiteering drug companies.

Side Effects of Medications: As we all know, commonly marketed drugs are often found to have adverse effects on people when they are used long-term. The adverse side effects of commonly prescribed drugs often lead to complications where other, worse diseases become established. Thousands of people die each year in the United States of America, from having been given the wrong medication, or too much of it, or from complications due to prescribed drugs. This is a big problem – Yet where is the lobby to get THESE drugs banned?

Nobody Dies From A Homeopathic Overdose or from being given the wrong homeopathic remedy. Homeopathic remedies do not propose a danger to people’s health in the same way as allopathic drug treatments do, yet, very very wrongly, we have the likes of Shaun Holt campaigning to have homeopathic remedies banned in doctor’s surgeries.

Homeopathic Medicine is, by contrast to commonly used drugs, a much safer way to go. Of course, sometimes common drugs are needed, if homeopathy has not cured a condition: When a patient has been used to a life-time of taking poisonous drugs, and the immune system has become severely weakened, then homeopathic medicine may not work. These patients might need ‘more of the same’ of the drugs that they are used to.

But for most people who have not abused their systems with excessive or long-term usage of prescription medicines, which generally just mask a condition of ill-health, then homeopathic medicine can be just the thing to restore you to health, cure an ailment and really fix what is wrong with you.

Grape Diet For Cancer

Grapes As Part of Cancer Treatment:

My friend Bernhard Petersen, who left his physical body less than a month ago, is still working here on earth as a healer. He has just given me some advice for another friend who has cancer. Bernhard himself used grapes for healing. He grew an abundance of them which even came inside his house at Waiheke Island.

This friend has had his pancreas removed, only a few months ago. He has just had scans done, and has been told that he has cancer in other parts of his body. Well, with the medical profession about to give up, as there is not much more they can do to help my friend using orthodox treatment, it really is about time to get cracking on detoxifying and maximizing nutrition so that the body may stand a chance of recovering.

Having organs removed from the body is not considered the best thing in alternative therapies: There almost always is cancer in other parts of the body, and so removing one part of it is not going to cure the condition. Far better to aim at clearing the vital organs of cancer so that you have these organs for the benefit of your health when you recover. Nevertheless, there is much that can be done to detoxify the body and prevent the cancer from growing. Cancer CAN be reversed.

Using castor oil, as in the Gerson method for treating cancer, would be the quickest, most efficient way to get those poisons eliminated very quickly.

However, when the body is so toxic, as it always is with developed cancers, one needs to be careful when you are detoxifying without the ongoing help of a professional therapist. Ideally, one would go to a cancer clinic, such as an Ann Wigmore clinic, or a Max Gerson clinic, but this live-in therapy, where one would have expert attention almost 100% of the time, is very costly. So we have to prepare a method and a programme which is manageable and do-able at home.

The Grape Diet:

Note: You MUST find organic, unsprayed grapes. Look around for an unsprayed source in someone’s back garden. There will be a friend of a friend around somewhere who will be able to help you out. Alternatively, you could buy organic grapes from a health food store, but these will be costly, considering the amount you will need to eat.

So – Bernhard recommends doing a grape diet for ten days to begin with: Eat as many grapes as you like. Whenever hungry, eat grapes. Eating just grapes, without any other food, and without doing anything else at this stage, apart from using enemas daily. I would take an enema whenever I felt nauseous, or was experiencing any other kind of physical upset. I found, when treating a breast lump with a raw food diet, castor oil and enemas, that using an enema really helped to alleviate pain or nausea or dizzyness, as these symptoms were usually the result of toxins overloading the intestines as they were released from the liver. Using water enemas, with just a quarter of a teaspoon of sea salt each time, flushed away these poisons very quickly, which had the immediate effect of dissipating any feelings of sickness. Make sure you use natural sea salt, and just a pinch or two. Do not use table salt, as this has additives in it which will get absorbed through the bowel walls.

More about this tomorrow: Ten days initially on the grape diet. Eat as many as you like. Use enemas daily – does not have to be a coffee enema. Just warm, purified water with a pinch of sea salt will do the trick. Then we can look at other procedures.

This post is meant for information only. It is not a complete account of alternative cancer treatment, nor is it necessarily accurate. It is not advised that you begin a treatment for cancer or anything else on the basis of what is written here.

Alternative Cancer Treatment is not promoted by many doctors, though there are some intelligent and intuitive doctors about, for sure, who would not dismiss the idea of alternative cancer treatment.

Many doctors in the medical profession are true ‘healers’, because they really do understand why and how cancer exists, and understand something of the detoxification and nutrition factors which are involved in bringing sick people back to health.

In New Zealand, we had our own Dr Eva Hill in the early part of the 19th century. Dr Hill was a true healer who cured many people, in New Zealand and abroad, of serious diseases like cancer through natural medicine. She used herbs, nutrition, detoxification and meditation techniques.

Walter Last, an Austrian physicist who worked many years in New Zealand before moving to Australia, also has cured many people of cancer and other degenerative disease. Dr Ann Wigmore, an American, is another famous doctor who learned how to treat cancer naturally: she had had cancer herself, and recovered, adapting her own version of therapy from the ideas of Dr Max Gerson. Dr Max Gerson, another American, was another such brilliant doctor: His life’s work was devoted to helping people with cancer and other degenerative disease. Dr Gerson’s book on cancer has helped many people, including myself, to recover from disease. More on Dr Gerson and his book later in this post. Now:

Why haven’t we got a ‘cure’ for cancer? For a start, the drug companies, which really are the influencing force behind most practising doctors, and most medical schools, do not wish to promote natural cures of any kind, as these will only interfere with the sale of their drugs, and their profits, unless they can take charge of the ‘natural cure’. In most cases, that is nigh impossible, as ‘nature cures’ are very hard work, and require an exceptional determination and perseverance on the part of the patient, which means that ‘the cure’ cannot really be bought.

The other reason is that people are very lazy, and do not want to put the hard yards in to get their health back. They believe that they have been targeted unfairly in that they have ‘got’ cancer. They, in most cases, want to believe that the physician has all the answers with his drugs, chemotherapy, and radiation for cancer. They don’t want to hear about the environment, how it has become polluted through our own stupid fault, and that we should ALL be changing our lifestyles for clean, more fairly run, honest and healthy agricultural communities. No – most of us don’t want to think about the extent of it, or make radical changes when we get cancer. All most people want to do is carry right on doing what they are doing, succumb to the advice and the treatment by the physician, take their medicine, and hope for the best.

So we must take some of the responsibility for this stupidity ourselves. It is not just the drug companies who are at fault here. They simply are profitting from people’s laziness: they fit into the scheme of things because people want to take the easy way out: by using weedkiller to kill the weeds instead of pulling them out; and by taking drugs when they get sick, even if they don’t do the trick.

Dr Samuel Epstein, in ‘The Politics of Cancer’, gives many instances of drug companies controlling and monopolizing the ‘healing’ world, and healers themselves, by putting people out of business, and banning certain products and activities, because they pose a threat to their dragnet of wealth gained from the sale of pharmaceuticals all over the world.

Whenever a herb or some other remedy looks as if it might be effective in treating a condition, then drug companies are the first to step in to try and patent it, or get it prohibited so that the public do not have access to it anymore. Such an example is the case with turmeric, and comfrey, or ‘knit-bone’, both of which are powerful healers. Comfrey, unfortunately, is banned in most western countries now, but turmeric has had abetter fate, because, as it is an important food item in India, it has just managed to escape the hungry mouth of the drug companies turmeric tiger which wanted to patent it for their own profit.

Drug companies have been known to shut down the practices of doctors or naturopaths, or other healers who have been successful in treating cancer. Some famous practitioners have even been thrown in jail and their successes denied, through the actions of jealous drug companies.

I have just found a very important book on the subject of cancer. It is called ‘The Cancer Conspiracy’, written by Dr Toni Jeffreys PhD, published by Crows Nest Books, P.O. Box 607, Warkworth, New Zealand 1241. This edition is 2000, although there is an added note in the book which says a further edition will come out shortly.

This is such a great book. It is well researched, right on the mark, and written with great heart.

Dr Jeffreys has a similar view to Dr Epstein in that she does not have too much respect for modern day medicine, which seems to be linked so strongly, like glue, to the drug manufacturers.

Dr Jeffreys parallels the drug-making machinations to those of the tobacco industry. It has taken literally decades for the tobacco companies to finally come clean, when they knew all along that smoking caused lung disease, including cancer. The ‘research’ they did never targeted real issues of health, and were rigged to show favourable results for the tobacco industry.

It is the same scenario now with the problem of cancer: We are forever being led down wrong trails under the name of research, simply because the drug companies, who are the richest organizations in the world, do not want anyone to find a cure, or point out that the cause of cancer is actually inherent in our sick, industrialized society.

Cancer is a microscosmic symptom of the vast and wide macrocosmic sickness and disfunction which we ourselves have created.

So it goes on. Money is continually poured into ‘research’, which only serves the purposes of the drug companies, because they decide exactly what things they want to do their research on. Of course, they don’t choose to spend their research money on the obvious thing which really would help people and the enrvironment – the cause of sickness – as making people well would not bring them in their money. The whole medical and drug hierarchy relies on people being unwell, and being reliant on their drugs.

The big business of chemical production and sales begins with the very food we eat. It is sprayed many times with chemicals which are often made by the same chemical companies, or associated chemical companies, which produce the drugs further down the track, to ‘treat’ us once we have become ill from consuming their pesticides and herbicides.

Alternative Cancer Treatment which Has Worked in Many Cases:

I am really pleased and excited to see Doctor Jeffreys talk about the Gerson programme of alternative cancer therapy, and the Gerson history: Dr Max Gerson literally cured thousands of people of cancer and other disease during his working life. Of course, not everybody survived, but many did live to tell the tale.

Dr Max Gerson is one of those doctors who was literally hounded by the FDA, pushed on by the dug companies of his era. Dr Gerson was eventually forbidden to practice in America, and was chased away, out of the USA. He set up a clinic for treating cancer and other degenerative disease in Mexico, which is still being run, by his daughter, today.

Or you can buy the book to read about his amazing success rates, and gain an insight into just how his treatment works, basically, through detoxification methods and nutrition.

Dr Toni Jeffreys also talks about the natural treatments of John Hoxsey and his son Harry Hoxsey, who were famous for their health advice and herbs which they freely gave away. The Hoxseys were alternative healers who were also forced to give up the practice practice of healing naturally. They were brought to eventual ruin, and the elder Hoxsey was thrown in jail. A Hoxsey clinic still survives in Mexico, but this is the only place where you can take advantage of the Hoxsey healing herbs.
