Is 1080 Responsible For Sick Cat, Dead Birds, Kaikorai Valley Dunedin

1080 is, I am sure, threatening our health, the health of animals, and also the very birds it is meant to be protecting.  It is getting into our waterways, which will kill fish and the life which fish are dependent on for food.  This contaminated drinking water will be a danger to our own health too.  As well as 1080, we have toxic herbicides, such as glyphosate in RoundUp, being sprayed vociferously about the country roads and city parks and reserves.  These poisons also end up in the waterways and affect our health.

Today is Sunday, 29th October, 2017.  I live nearby the Kaikorai Valley Reserve, in Dunedin.  My house is about 15 metres from the reserve. Yesterday, I saw a dead duck lying in a drain by the roadway which runs alongside the Kaikorai Reserve.  The day before that, on Friday, I saw a dead seagull lying on the grass in the park adjacent to the Kaikorai Valley Reserve.  I wonder if 1080 is the cause of these birds dying, and the cause of sudden debilitation in health recently.

It is interesting to me that the Kaikorai Reserve has been closed off to the public for quite a few weeks now.  No sign was up, but some orange netting has been blocking the entranceway.  I also find it interesting that during this time, a neighbour of mine who lives even closer to the reserve than me, had an emergency visit to hospital.  He said he felt ill and had a very flushed face.  But no heart pain.  The hospital told him he was having a heart attack, and put a stent into his heart while he was there.  Perhaps he did have a weak heart, but his condition would have undoubtedly been made worse by what I suspect was 1080 next door.

Earlier this year, sometime in January, I came across a kereru – native wood pigeon – which had died on the footpath, only 30 yards or so up from the entrance to the Kaikorai walkway. It was still fresh, and a wild cat was eating out the flesh of the belly. It is possible that the feral cat had killed the pigeon as it sat above on the overhanging branch of a tree, but it is also possible that this bird had been poisoned by 1080 before the cat got to it.

About three years ago, in Te Aroha, I walked with a friend a good way up Te Aroha mountain, which is in the Waikato. A notice was at the bottom of the hill, announcing that 1080 had been dropped, and this advised that one should not take a dog into the area.  We got half way up the mountain in complete silence.  Not one bird to be seen, and not one bird sound.  We were about an hour or two doing the walk, and no birds were to be seen the whole time.

My neighbour tells me that the council have been dropping a lot of 1080 around Dunedin’s parks and reserves.  All I can find about recent 1080 drops around Dunedin is this article:

On the 10th October, 2017, which I remember well, because it was my grandson’s birthday, we all felt ill at my family’s house.  They live at Sawyer’s Bay, which has a good-size reserve and water-catchment area at the top of the hill.  I suspect that the cause of their sickness was because the 1080 pesticide was dropped here too.

On the previous Saturday, 7th October, 2017, I had felt so ill I was having doubts about going to the birthday party, thinking I might have to have a visit to hospital for life support. That day my neighbour’s cat, a very healthy, young, gregarious male, vomitted up his food at my house.  He did the same thing on the following day, and again, vomitted up his food on the third day in a row.  He has never ever been ill during the time I have been here – 1 1/2 years.  He was ill at the very same time, on the very same days when I felt sudden nausea and thought I would collapse because of some unknown toxic poisoning.  My daughter and my grandson were also feeling very ill at the same time.

Earlier in the year, on New Year’s Eve, I had a similar experience of weakness which was combined with memory loss.  I had seen workers spraying herbicide along the motorway as I travelled on the bus to Mosgiel and back.  On that occasion, my neighbour called the ambulance to take me to hospital.  Many tests were done, and they declared that nothing was wrong with me physically.  A brain scan was done also, and that showed nothing wrong other than the slight deterioration which comes with age. After this sudden episode of debilitation,  I discovered that all the country roads in the surrounding district had been sprayed with toxic herbicide.  I assumed it was RoundUp, which the World Health Organization now suspect as a major cause of cancer, but I think the council’s contractors have changed the type of spray being used.  It is no better for the health, though, than the more common RoundUp.

1080 is yet another poison which is being used widely in our environment, to the detriment of health of all living creatures.  Many of my friends and school-mates have died in recent years, mostly of cancer, before reaching 65. Life expectancy is lessening in New Zealand for even well-off people, mainly because of the poisons in our air, food and water.

Recipe Leek and Ginger Soup Good For Colds and Flu

Gluten Free Recipe For Lentil-Leek and Ginger Soup

WOW.  Nothing like having a hot, freshly-made soup in the winter to antidote the flu.  This is my own peppered-up version of leek soup which helps to drive those bugs away.

Note:  If you are on blood thinners such as Warfarin, then you should not indulge in this soup.  Leeks and Ginger are both natural blood thinners, so if you have any quantity of these foods and combine them with artificial blood thinners, you could end up being over-dosed on blood thinners.  A nose bleed may result.  Far better to get your health requirements from your diet, in my estimation, than to take the artificial replacements.  It would be a better thing if doctors would work out an appropriate diet which includes the remedial substances that their patients need, rather than resort to prescribing artificial blood thinners, etc, instead.

Leeks Are Good For The Immune System: The vegetable basis of this soup recipe is leeks, which are a classic herbal remedy for colds and flu, as well as being an anti-cancer food, and good for the eyesight because of their high Lutein and Zeaxanthin content.

Fresh Ginger Roots Are Good For The Immune System:  This soup also contains another great remedy for colds and flu – ginger roots.  The active ingredients in fresh ginger are the Terpenes and Gingerols which have powerful germ-destroying properties.  Ginger is also noted as an anti-cancer agent, as an anti-inflammatory for arthritis,  a remedy for nausea, and an enhancer of the digestion.

Gluten Free Brown Lentils Are Nutritious and have Anti-Cancer Components:  The main protein content  in this gluten free soup recipe comes from the brown lentils whcih also have anti-cancer properties.  They are one of the few foods which have good quantities of Folic acid, and Zinc.

Lentils are a favourite food for vegetarians and for people on gluten-free diets.  They are not only delicious, but are rich in nutrients such as protein, fibre, B Vitamins, Folate, Iron, and Zinc.  Their high Zinc content boosts the immune system so that your system can fight those bad germs better.  Lentils also contain Isoflavins and Lignan, which help in keeping cancer at bay.

This recipe also uses one unpeeled grated apple, seeds and all.  Apples are another healing food, rich in pectin, Vitamin C, and fibre.

Recipe For Leek-Lentil-Ginger Soup

You will need:  Dry Lentils, One Leek, Fresh Ginger Roots, One Apple, One Carrot, Sea Salt, Red Paprika, Mild Curry Powder.

Take One and a 1/2 cups of dry lentils.

Add Lentils to a litre of water.

Bring to the boil.  Simmer gently for half an hour.

Add one whole chopped leek to the lentils after half an hour of cooking.

Peel a good chunk of ginger.

Chop the ginger up finely – enough to fill two tablespoons.

Add the ginger to the soup.

Chop up three cloves of  garlic and add to the soup.

Grate the carrot and add to the soup.

Add also one desertspoon mild curry powder.

Add half a teaspoon red paprika powder and one teaspoon sea-salt.

Cook altogether for another half an hour on low heat.

Add one whole grated apple five minutes before the end of the cooking, as well as a half teaspoon of cinnamon powder.

You may need to add a little more water to the soup after the leeks have been added.  Use one or two cups of extra water – enough to make it soupey and not too thick.

The soup can be served as it is, or with an added lump of butter or some grated cheese.

Alternatively, ground sesame seeds could be added to substitute the dairy food.

If you have the flu, or a cold, then it is best to eat the soup without any dairy added.

I think that this is a great food for people wanting to lose weight.  If it is eaten as the main meal, without added dairy, or bread,  then you can eat as much of it as you like without fear of putting on weight.

 

 

Flu Jab Vaccinations Promoted On Campbell Live Show, NZ 18th April 2012

Vaccinations Can Damage Your Immune System.

John Campbell TV3 has let us down.  Generally speaking,  I like his style of reporting and discussion, as he usually examines both sides of the issue in question.

However, on the issue of vaccinations for influenza which aired on tonight’s show, he failed to do this.  We only heard the view of ONE medical doctor who happened to be an advocate for flu jabs.  Makes me wonder if TV3 had been authorized by some government authority to give a pro-vaccination report, by making a seemingly investigitave approach on the issue, but without including controversial evidence against the case for vaccination.   Perhaps the drug agencies themselves had done their brain-washing on John Campbell and his producers,  so that they would conveniently ignore the other side of the question.  Were they all offered the free shots, I wonder?

At the conclusion of the vaccination topic, we  at least did have ONE TV person from channel 3 who chose not to take the vaccination – a conclusion I found to be satisfactory.  And we heard several people  earlier on state that, as they thought themselves healthy, and  they hardly ever got sick, that they would NOT be taking the flu jab.

Yet Campbell’s pro-vaccination doctor made an incredible and unbelievable statement about such healthy people  needing the flu jab more than ever.  He said that if you have not had the flu in 12 years, or whatever, then you REALLY NEEDED to have the flu jab vaccination.  Now, how can that be true?  Sounds like drug company indoctrination to me, reminiscent of the “More doctors smoke Camel’  cigarette story.

And great advertising for the doctor on the show.  Who does he know at TV3?

Campbell’s show tonight was not an impartial investigation on the effectiveness or safety of flu vaccines – it presented a case FOR vaccination, without examining any of the reasons  for NOT VACCINATING.  The doctor they had on the show was ridiculously enthusiastic about taking the vaccine, rubbing  hands and knees together gleefully in anticipation of the flu-jab customers  which were likely to flood his clinic this week after seeing this programme, swearing that flu vaccinations would do you no harm, etc, etc, but we never heard a challenge from another health professional on this doctor’s pro-rant for the flu vaccine.  Only one doctor on the show, and he was  backing the flu vaccine.

But there are plenty of doctors out there who do NOT believe in having flu jabs, or in giving their own children the regular vaccinations which are promoted by our own government agencies, and by the drug companies who  make and sell the stuff.  There ARE alternatives to taking vaccinations.

There IS a big question mark over the issue of the safety of vaccinations.  It would have been good if Campbell had bothered to look into some of the  anti-vaccine literature  published by medical people,  and by alternative health professionals.   There is plenty of research into the topic which might suggest that vaccinations are not always safe, and nor are they the best thing to prevent infections, including flu.

Vitamin C in large doses is one proven prophylactic, or preventative, for flu.  Megadoses of Vitamin C – i prefer calcium ascorbate as it is non-acidic – helps to kill off viruses and bacteria, and hastens the recovery of flu or other infections.  Vitamin A is another good one which destroys bacteria and viruses.  And there are heaps of Homeopathic remedies which will work effectively in helping to prevent or cure the flu and other infectious diseases, without damaging the body’s own  immune system.   Children generally respond well to the Homeopathic remedies recommended for childhood infectious diseases, such as mumps, whooping cough, measles, whooping cough,  and others.

But of course, if you are unfamiliar with the Homeopathic remedies, or herbal and vitamin naturopathic treatments, then you should seek advice from a qualified and experienced health practitioner to treat or prevent flu and other infectious diseases.

Food Sources of Vitamin C

Natural Food Sources of Vitamin C:

All fruits and vegetables contain Vitamin C.

Vitamin C helps  support the immune system and  is a powerful antioxidant.  It has been used for many years in alternative cancer treatments, but now  it has been proven as a fact to be a cancer preventative.  This finding was made public just two weeks ago, by research scientists in New Zealand.

So now we can be certain of the value of Vitamin C in maintaining a healthy immune system.  Vitamin C is vital to good health.
