Raw Food Diets and Juice Diets Which Heal Cancer Can Also Heal the Teeth.  Some people acci-dentally, if you excuse the pun, regrew their tooth enamel whilst they were on very strict diets and healing regimes to treat their terminal cancer.

When the cancer was finally cured after a year of being on a cleansing regime of mainly juices and raw foods, with minimum protein, and castor oil every second day followed by enemas, Jacqui Davison found that she had miraculously grown a new set of teeth.  Many people are interested in this idea.

We have a family member who is undergoing surgery for cancer of the thyroid next Monday.  We had hoped he would take the Vitamin C therapy and adopt a change of diet and lifestyle, and he may still do these things, but he has opted to have the surgery for a start. We are all pulling our socks up at the moment and are putting more effort into our own personal health because of this crisis.  We hope that he will do the same and adopt all the natural healing methods which will help him recover quickly from this operation.

Lach sent me a comment this morning in response to my post on Vitamin C Megadoses for Cancer and Alternatives to Surgery Radiation and Chemo.  He is excited because he has just gone out to buy a new juicer.  Learning about the alternative treatments for cancer, and how they worked for some people in regrowing their tooth enamel, has prompted Lach to take the diet thing seriously.  And so he has got himself a new juicer.

How To Improve Your Breasts Without Implants.

Exercise and a good life-style, of course, are the best things for your health and also for your breasts.  Good health should really be our objective, and so long as we are healthy, we should really be content with how our breasts are.  But sometimes breasts can waste away because of nutritional deficiencies, or lack of appropriate exercise, or because we are unhappy.  In these cases we can do quite a bit to restore our health again, and also improve the appearance and health of the breasts at the same time.

This article will give you a few home hints which may help to tone up the breasts without having surgery. The result may not be so instantly  obvious and dramatic as the breast implant solution, but believe me, natural is always best and safest for your health.

Breast implants are something to be avoided, in my opinion.  Any foreign material brought into the body will increase the risk of cancer, nervous system diseases, arthritis and other health problems.  So, unless it is absolutely necessary, operations of the cosmetic kind should be avoided.  Some products may be worse than others, but generally speaking, these man-made fabrics which breast implants are made of, all have a potential to harm your health once they are set inside you permanently.

Just look at all those poor women across the world who are now seeking to have their  implants removed because their PIP implants were made out of  toxic industrial-grade slicone.  These women who were mislead as to the safety of their implants now have a great  risk of getting cancer and other degenerative disease.

The word is out, and so thousands of women are frantically trying to get those faulty implants taken out. Many women have reported pain and illness since they were given these breast implants.  (2011 – 2012)   Some  of these implants have burst already, and this poses an especially bad health risk to the patient when the material is so very toxic.  There is always a danger of implants bursting, so even if the breast-plant material is certified as OK, whatever it is, if it gets the chance to leach into your system, it will do you no good.  I had a friend who, 20 years ago, had breast implants done, and who had to have the operation reversed five years later, to remove all the toxic filler which had burst out of its casing.

In some countries of the world, eg France, the government has stepped in to help these women get the toxic implants taken out for free.  But in Australia, the government has refused to acknowledge any responsibility, and so these women who had the faulty breast implants have to pay for the reversal themselves. It is very important that these women who now have industrial-grade silicone drifting through their bodies get that toxic stuff removed as soon as possible.

Here are some tips for improving your breasts without implants:

Simple Exercises For Toning Up the Breasts:

The Windmill Exercise is one of the best.  This increases circulation to the chest area, and improves the general circulation.  It will help the breast muscle as well as the lungs.  Simple hold out the arms and revolve them around in a windmill motion.  Do 20 turns in one direction, then do 20 turns going the opposite way, moving both the arms at the same time. You should try and do this exercise each day.

When your strength builds up a bit, you can try holding a small weight in each hand while you do the wind-mill exercise.  This will build more muscle on the chest area, as well as on the arms. Two one-litre plastic milk bottles which have been filled with water make good weights.  Take the exercise gently if you are using weights of any kind.  Do not strain the arm or shoulder muscles by using weights which are too heavy for you.

Arm Pushing Exercise For Toning Up the Breasts:

This is an easy yoga exercise which helps the chest muscles, as well as the arms.  Simply hold out your arms in front of you. Bend the elbows so that you can take hold of each arm with the opposite hand. Grip each arm between the hand and the elbow and hold it firmly.  Now push the right hand out towards the left elbow,  and vice versa, but gripping the arm tightly so that your hand does not actually move.  Hold the arm push for ten seconds, then release for ten seconds. Keep the arms in the arm hold, then repeat.  Again,  hold for ten seconds, release for ten seconds.  Continue this for around a minute, or until you feel you have done enough.  Build up the tension time gradually, and extend the overall time for the exercise to two or three minutes.  Do at least once a day.

Push-Ups Are Excellent Muscle Builders and Breast-Toners

If you can manage a modified press-up, where you keep the shins and knees on the floor, moving the upper body down to the floor and up again, then you have the ideal breast-improving exercise.  And proper push-ups would be even better, because there is more weight put on the arms, and this results in more tension and release for those chest and arm muscles.  Again, take it easy if you are not used to doing these exercises.  It is best to build up slowly.

Yoga Exercises.  The Bow is very good for developing the chest muscles and for toning up the digestive organs.  Lie on the floor on your stomach.  Reach back to take hold of your ankles.  Now pull up the front of the body, using the ankles as leverage to hold the body up.   The knees will come off the floor slightly as you pull and stretch backward holding the feet.   Hold for a few seconds, then release slowly, dropping the knees to the floor.  Rest for a few seconds, then repeat.  As you build up strength with practicing this exercise each day, you will be able to increase the amount of stretches you do, and prolong the period of tension.  Do not strain too hard or too long.

Relaxing Exercise To De-stress Body and Mind.  Yoga nidra exercise, or ‘the yoga of sleep’ is very helpful in restoring the health of the body, I have found.  You might like to read my posts on yoga nidra. Basically, the yoga nidra exercise involves lying down, closing the eyes, and visualizing each part of the body, starting from the fingers, up the arms, down the trunk, and down the legs.  Each part is focussed on individually with the ‘mind’s eye’, then left while you move onto the next part.  This has an incredibly soothing and healing effect on the mind and body.  I recommend it for helping improve the breasts when the cause of emmaciated breasts is actually tension and worry, which causes digestive problems.  This exercise helps improve digestion, which, in turn, will help to nourish your breasts.

Another really good exercise is Prana distribution.  You essentially transfer prana, or vital force energy, to the breasts, or whatever part of the body needs healing.  You need to do this lying down while you are relaxed.  Before you go to sleep would be a good time to do it.  Close your eyes and put your fingertips over the solar plexus are.  Breathe in slowly and deeply to the count of ten if you can get that far, then, as you exhale, put the fingertips over the chest area, breathing out slowly to the count of ten again.  Repeat up to ten times.  To begin with, you might need to count to six.  Build up the digits to ten as you train your lungs to take in more air, and to hold the air for slightly longer than usual.  This relaxes the body, soothes the mind, and oxygenates the blood more fully.  A very healthful exercise to do, whatever you are trying to heal or soothe.

Drink Plenty Of Soya Milk

Soya milk is high in natural estrogens, which encourage a feminine form.  Very good for the breasts, especially if you are under-weight.  Soya milk is a healthier alternative to drinking pasteurized cows’ milk.

Other nourishing foods for the breasts are sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and almonds.

Herbs Which Are Helpful For the Health of the Breasts

Bee Pollen To Help Breasts:  Dr Caroline Shreeve mentions Bee Pollen in her book ‘The Alternative Dictionary of Symptoms and Cures’.  Bee Pollen is reputed to enlarge the breasts, firm the breast tissue and improve the general shape of the breasts, according to Dr Shreeve’s report.

Evening Primrose Oil is supposed to be helpful for general breast health, and for reducing pain in conditions such as fibrocystic breast disease.  It is possible that Evening Primrose Oil also helps to maintain breast size and healthy breast tissue. Dr Shreeve recommends this dosage of Evening Primrose Oil:  3 X 500mg capsules taken twice daily. Of course no herbs or vitamins should not be taken if you are taking medication of any kind.  Check with your doctor or your naturopath or alternative therapist first, to make sure if it is right for you.

Essential Fatty Acids are ESSENTIAL for maintaining healthy breast tissue.  Sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin kernels, sesame seeds – try to eat some of these protein foods every day.  Egg yolk is also good.

Tonic Herbs to Improve General Health:  Dong Quai and Damiana are two herbs which could be considered to be helpful for improving breast size and health.  Both these herbs are used as general, over-all female tonics.  Damiana is sometimes used for treating male sexual problems as well.  Either of these herbs would help the over-all picture of improving health and increasing vitality.

Asparagus and Artichokes are reputed to have aphrodisiac qualities for both men and women.  Asparagus is a great diuretic which helps cleanse the kidneys, thus benefitting the general health.  There is no proof I have come across that these vegetables will benefit the size of your breasts, but they will help build healthy tissue, which is the main thing.  Be careful with asparagus if you are on medication or have a kidney disease – ask your doctor or naturopath if you are taking medication for kidneys or heart.

Vitamin Tonic For Helping Breast Health:

This raw juice recipe is given in Dr Shreeve’s book:

Mix 300ml of fresh carrot juice with 150ml cabbage juice and 150ml of cress or turnip juice.  Take this amount daily to help the health of the breasts, as well as the general health.

Castor Oil Packs Helps Rebuild Tissue:  Castor oil is a great rejuvenator and detoxifyer.  For these reasons, I would recommend castor oil packs to be used for regenerating breast tissue.  Put two or three tablespoons of castor oil on a piece of clean white linen or woollen fabric.  Place over the breasts, cover with a small piece of plastic and a bandage, and leave overnight.  Use for three nights in a row, then leave off for three nights.  Repeat the treatment after three days, and continue with the treatment for up to three weeks.  Give the treatment a break, and then continue again as needed.  This castor oil treatment can also help to reduce tumours, in combination with a detoxifying diet and enemas.

Vitamins Can Help Form Healthy Breast Tissue

Vitamin C is important because it helps form connective tissue, and helps to keep tissues elastic and healthy.  1000mg of calcium ascorbate or ester C could be taken daily as a restorative tonic.  Vitamin C also helps to reduce toxins and prevent tumours, so it is an important vitamin to remember as a cancer preventative.

Vitamins A, B, C and D are all important for forming and maintaining healthy breast tissue.

Selenium is another important supplement to consider for breast health.  Selenium helps oxygenate the tissues.  Oxygenated tissues are healthy tissues.




Candida Quick Fix With Epsom Salts Still Needs On Going Modified Diet

Natural Remedies To Rid The Body Of Candida Without Antibiotics

Of course, you do need to consult with your doctor or naturopath or homeopath or ayurvedic practitioner before using any of these remedies.  And you would generally use only one of the following methods, depending on what your health practitioner suggests.

And after trying a ‘quick fix’ to eliminate candida, you need to still take care with the diet and avoid yeasts, alcohol, sugar, milk products and wheat as much as possible.

Remember that vaccinations and antibiotics can cause candida infections.  Even those flu jabs can weaken your immune system by interfering with the natural balance of organisms in the intestines.

I have found  some natural remedies which will tackle the onslaught of a sudden  candida infection.  They can reduce the  distressing symptoms of candida very effectively.

These remedies are epsom salts, castor oil, calcium ascorbate, and enemas.   Aspirin, baking soda,  garlic, and the kawakawa leaf, from the plant which is indigenous to New Zealand, are also helpful, but the first three mentioned are very quick to act, especially in conjuction with an enema.  Of course, there are many other remedies, such as  homeopathic thuja-echinacea, and herbs such as taheebo, or pau d’arco,  but I will talk here about the remedies which are easy to procure in New Zealand, and inexpensive as well – Epsom Salts, Castor Oil, and Calcium Ascorbate.

1) A Candida Quick Fix Using Epsom Salts:  This is very easy to do.  It works by cleansing the effete matter out of the intestines and other organs.  Rubbish hanging about in the body’s digestive process is a great breeding ground for candida.  Epsom salts also have an alkaline effect on the body and its digestive process – Making the body alkaline  through taking epsom salts for a few days stops the candida albicans from proliferating.  Thus epsom salts is  helpful in normalizing and balancing  the bowel flora again.

Dose For Epsom Salts as a Quick Fix For Candida:  Note:  If you have heart problems, or are unwell from any other disease, then you should not try this remedy.  Seek advice from your doctor.

If you are normally quite healthy, then an adult can take  a dose first thing in the morning, or last thing at night, of two teaspoons Epsom Salts dissolved  in about a pint of warm water.

Next day, repeat the dose with one teaspoon of Epsom Salts in another pint of warm water.  If you have a bowel motion soon after taking the Epsom Salts, then leave the next dose for a day or two.

Repeat for up to three or four doses taken over a period of four days to a week.  This should fix the Candida overgrowth.

You can take 2tsps once a week to help cleanse the insides and reduce candida.

I find that I do not have to follow such an extremely stringent anti candida diet if I use castor oil, or epsom salts, on a fairly regular basis.

2) Castor Oil As A Quick Fix For Candida:  This works in much the same way as the Epsom Salts cleanse, by removing the effete matter out of the bowel, so that there is no old rubbish left around for Candida albicans to breed in.  Somehow, Epsom Salts and Castor Oil do not affect the ‘good’ bacteria in the bowel, which makes them wonderful medicines in treating Candida complaints.

Take 2 tablespoons of castor oil with a cup of black, freshly made coffee, first thing in the morning, before breakfast.  You probably won’t feel like eating anything much after taking the castor oil.  When you do decide to eat breakfast, then eat something light, such as a boiled egg, or a bowl of oatmeal porridge with a grated apple – no sugar – no milk.  Fruit is not meant to be good for people with rampant candida.   I could not eat any fruit at all for a long time after becoming poisoned with asbestos and heavy metals, but these days, I find that eating fruit after taking castor oil or epsom salts works well to detoxify the body of any accumulated toxins and candida.

Wait for a couple of days, then repeat the castor oil dose.  This should fix most people’s candida overgrowth.  However, if your candida is the result of chemical poisoning, then you will have to take the castor oil on a regular basis – once or twice a week, depending on the level of your toxicity.  And you will need to be VERY careful to make sure you avoid all yeasts, sugars, wheat, and dairy products for a time.

If you suspect you have chemical poisoning, then seek professional advice from your health practitioner before tackling either castor oil or epsom salts.

3) A Third Method Which Is A Quick Fix For Candida is Calcium Ascorbate

Calcium Ascorbate is a non acidic form of Vitamin C.  This treatment works a bit like the Epsom Salts method because it makes the body alkaline.  Its effect is almost immediate, like Epsom Salts.  Calcium Ascorbate also works to neutralize toxins in the intestines, and to help eliminate those toxins out of the system.  These reasons make Calcium Ascorbate a very valuable natural therapy for treating Candida, and for helping to keep the body alkaline and free from disease.

1000mg once a day with a big glass of water is an appropriate dose for an adult.  If the infection is very bad, then you could take up to three doses a day of 1000mg each – just until the bowels start to loosen.  Then reduce the dose to between 500mg to 1000mg a day.

4) Using a Warm Water Enema helps to get rid of candida quickly.  You can use the enema in conjunction with any other treatment you decide to use. The enema works by washing out the debris from the bowel, so that  the candida organism has nothing to feed on.  Walter Last ALWAYS recommended the use of an enema – daily if necessary – to help cure any disease. I find his advice to be sound.  Cleaning the intestines with water does help with candida.  Dr Max Gerson is  another healer who insisted on daily enemas to cure his patients of any disease, including cancer.

For the enema, you can add half a small teaspoon of sea salt to around a litre of warm water.

Aspirin – salicylate acid – can be a great help, as can baking soda,  if you have a sudden attack of candida which causes pain in the stomach.  Both these remedies have an alkaline effect. Two aspirins can be taken with a big glass of water. Or a small teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water.  Use these  remedies only as an emergency treatment.  It is not good to take aspirin regularly, and nor is it good to use baking soda regularly. Both these things weaken the kidneys, so only use them occasionally .

Calcium ascorbate vitamin C will also address a sudden attack of candida in the stomach.  Interestingly enough, Dr Gerson used to use aspirin combined with vitamin C as a pain-reliever for his cancer patients.  He found that taking the Vitamin C (which I think was Calcium Ascorbate) helped reduce the toxic effects of aspirin.

Recommended Modified Diet For Candida

Most important thing is not to use reheated food, or to leave food for longer than a few hours in the fridge before using.  Freshly prepared food is best.

This is a version of the diet which Walter Last gave to me many years ago.

It is sensible to try to stick to a yeast-free, sugar-free, wheat-free and dairy-free diet.  No alcohol, no vinegar, no sauces.  Sometimes organic, unpasteurized, fresh milk can be good, especially goat’s milk.  But generally, it is better to lay off milk and cheese.  Soy milk, I find, is often no good because the soy beans have begun fermenting a little in the processing.  Beef, fish, chicken and lamb are good.  Eggs are good, unless you have a specific allergy to them

Avoid processed meats, such as ham, corned beef, salami, and the like.  These often have chemicals and gluten  in them which are not good if you want to correct candida overgrowth.

All green vegetables are good.  Raw celery is especially good for candida, as it contains a natural antibiotic-antiseptic and is powerfully alkaline.

Garlic is another good natural antiseptic for candida.

Avoid mushrooms – these are a fungus, which is a type of yeast, and all yeasts must be avoided.

Be careful of carrots and other sweet fruits at the beginning of your treatment.  The sugar in these can be problematic.  But once the infection has been stemmed, grated raw apples and carrots, and cooked carrots, should be OK.

All good oils such as sunflower, olive, grapeseed, and butter are OK.  Olive oil is especially good.

Freshly cooked rice is good, but be careful not to leave any leftovers more than a few hours before using.  Cooked mung beans I find OK, especially if plenty of garlic and celery are added.  Be careful of all sprouted mung beans and other seeds, as they can get yeasts growing on them due to the several days it takes to grow them.  If your infection is not too severe, then freshly sprouted and carefully washed mung beans, or alfalfa, should be OK.

Toxic Pesticides, Toxic Herbicides, Household Bleach, Detergents, and other strong chemicals should be avoided. These, like radiation, all affect the balance of yeasts and other organisms in our environment, as well as the human body.

I find that candida problems, which manifest in the stomach and the skin with me,  are almost always due to chemical exposure.  I am likely to get a bout of indigestion, with stomach cramps, within a few days of people spraying poisonous insecticide about.  I have noticed that the council’s weed killer, which they have only recently started to use in north Auckland, when the north shore council combined with the big auckland council, brings on the candida symptoms.

I believe everybody in the vicinity of the grass-side verges which the council have sprayed will be susceptible to candida infections.  Only, many people will not realize that the cause of their  sudden headaches, or flu-like symptoms, or lethargy, or bone aches, or stomach cramps, or bowel disorders, or depression, etc, is directly related to the round-up, or whatever, which has been sprayed at their door.  They will trot along to the doctor to get diagnosed with various complaints, possibly even with arthritis which has come on suddenly, when, in fact, many of these complaints will be due to exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation which encourage candida yeasts.

The Brodifacoum poisoning of the Shakespear Park in Whangaparaoa will have increased the incidence, I believe, of candida-related sicknesses in the region.

These chemical sprays or pellets,  as well as household fly spray, bleach, or chlorine cleansers, quickly throw out the balance of bowel flora, which leads to candida becoming rampant.  The candida overgrowth, in turn, lowers the immune system even more, after the toxic chemicals have done their work, so that you might be vulnerable to any flu or viruses which happen to be floating about.  You will be more susceptible to infection until you have  eliminated the toxic chemicals, and combatted the candida so that the  bowel flora is restored.

Epsom salts, castor oil, vitamin c calcium ascorbate, and enemas, will all help to remove the chemicals affecting you, as well as clean the intestines of rubbish.

Radioactive chemicals from the nuclear disaster in  Fukushima, Japan, will be affecting people’s health on a world-wide scale.  Radioactive chemicals are very damaging to the body, as we know.

But – It only takes a small change in the air temperature, in humidity, and the level of chemicals in the environment, for candida to become rampant in an environment.  The people of Japan and the countries close to Japan, will be affected  profoundly, I believe, by this unseen, phantom yeast, because it affects the natural balance of bowel flora, and consequently, affects the immune system.

Which is why, I think, a daily dose of calcium ascorbate vitamin C is a good idea, to allay the effects of radiation chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, etc, etc, in the environment.  Some things we have no control over, and so we have to do the best we can.

Castor Oil and Protein Treatment To Stimulate Hair Growth

This is a conditioner which uses castor oil, olive oil,  eggs, herbs, and other riches to help stimulate hair growth, and give lustre to the hair.  It is also a good recipe to use if the hair is damaged. The original recipe comes from the book ‘Herbs for Health and Beauty’ by Margaret Roberts, which is a great little herbal recipe book, published by Lowry Publishers, Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1986.  I give you here a rewrite of the ingredients she uses.

This conditioning treatment could be used regularly once or twice a week if your hair is thinning or is poorly nourished.  Once your hair has regained its health, with the help of good dietary measures as well, then it could be used less often.


6 tbsps castor oil,

6 tbsps lanolin,

4 tbsps olive oil,

8 tbsp glycerine,

4 whole eggs,

4  egg yolks,

4 teaspoons of cider vinegar,

Two and a 1/2 cups warm water,

2 tbsps  shampoo.

Few drops of rosemary, neroli,  or lavender essential oil.

Put the castor oil into the top of a double boiler.  Add the lanolin and the olive oil to the castor oil.  Mix the ingredients together as they warm.  Take off the heat and let the mixture cool for five minutes only.

Then using an egg whisk, slowly whip in the glycerine, the water and the shampoo.  Lastly, add the cider vinegar, the egg yolks, and a few drops of essential oil.  Put into a jar with a screw-top lid and put into the fridge. Margaret warns that the mixture must be labelled ‘Hair Conditioner’ so that it is not mistaken for mayonaisse by any of the family.   The next day, beat up the remaining whole eggs, and add to the conditioner.

You apply the conditioner after washing the hair and leave it on for at least an hour with a shower cap on.  Use sunlight soap or shampoo to wash out.  Use a rosemary infusion, or a comfrey tea, or nettle tea,  as a final hair rinse.  The silica in comfrey, rosemary and nettles gives a great shine to the hair, and also helps to stimulate the growth of healthy hair.

Keep any remainder in the fridge to use next time.   It should last for at least a  week if it is kept in the fridge.

Repairing The Teeth

I have had many letters about whether people can, or cannot, regrow their tooth enamel.  There is no answer to this question – For a start, I am not a dentist and cannot give advice on people’s teeth, especially when I have no idea about the age, the health, the circumstances of the individual, and so forth.

Each individual case is different, which is why professional help should be sought if you are contemplating to follow any sort of health programme for the purpose of reversing a serious illness such as cancer or multiple sclerosis, or for the purpose of regrowing your tooth enamel.  I would advise you to see a good experienced naturopath, an ayurvedic practitioner, or a homeopath or herbalist. Consulting a naturopathic dentist would be a very good option if you wish to repair tooth enamel, as it is possible that the dentist could apply minerals to the teeth to help them repair themselves.

The Jacqui Davison/Gerson diet, and other wheatgrass programmes have worked well for curing many cancers and have repaired teeth in the process.  But there are other therapies which have worked equally well, such as a macrobiotic diet which is based on the Japanese diet, or the traditional Indian diet of Ayurvedic medicine. Indian people who have been brought up on traditional Indian food such as dahl, rice, and vegetable curries, with or without meat, usually have beautiful teeth, which shows how good this kind of diet is for the health.

I have written much about the Gerson therapy for cancer, and Jacqui Davison’s case, where new tooth enamel was grown while she followed Gerson’s therapy for cancer.

But not everyone has the ability, the perseverance, or the time, or the money, to put into following such rigorous programmes as Gerson’s, or other strict therapies recommended for cancer.

So – a modified diet is the best approach for most people, unless they are extremely determined and wish to follow the Gerson diet to the letter, with its castor oil doses every second day, daily enemas, and vegetable juices every hour, among other things.

A Basic Diet For Good Health:  I devised a special diet for my family many years ago.  I found  this diet to be good by trial and error. This diet was formulated  mainly to prevent my eldest child from suffering from eczema: Basically, all pre-packaged food, or processed food, was avoided completely so that no preservatives, colourants, or flavourings  were consumed at all.

All food was made at home. We omitted dairy foods, wheat foods, bread, sugar and yeast foods.  No coffee, tea or alcohol was used.  After following the diet for 9 months, to help my son’s eczema, we discovered one day that the small hole which had developed in his new front tooth had healed itself.  This proved that good nutrition, and avoiding harmful things in the diet, really does help tooth enamel to regenerate itself.  Although being young helps as well:  I have heard of other children who have had small cavities which have healed themselves naturally.

Now, I know that this diet  I devised is a similar one which is promoted for prevention and cure of candida.  This anti-eczema diet of ours is similar to the macrobiotic and Indian diets, where any cooked meats and fish are used, with any cooked vegetables and rice. But I was not following any specified programme as such:  I simply used all the foods which were healthy, and abandoned all that were unhealthy for us.  My son’s eczema was my barometer:  Eczema would appear on his arms very soon after eating anything which he was ‘allergic’ to, such as cow’s milk, wheat, and sugar, or yeast foods. He had been subjected to 245T aerial spraying over our house in the Hokianga when he was not much more than a year old. This had affected our health very badly.

After a while, I found that goat’s milk was tolerated by the whole family.  At first, I used fresh, unpasteurized goat’s milk to supplement breast feeding my youngest child. Then, when he was a little older, I found that powdered goat’s milk did not cause any reaction to any of my children, and so this was included in the daily diet also.  But for a long time, we did not use milk at all.

Basically, the foods we avoided were all wheat, all sugar, all dairy except for butter. Using butter was recommended by Walter Last – I found butter to be very healthful, but not so cow’s milk.

So I am going to list all of the foods which proved beneficial for us in preventing eczema, and which eventually repaired the enamel on my son’s tooth

List of Basic Foods To Help Regrow Tooth Enamel

All Cooking Oils were good, especially Olive oil, Grape seed oil, Rice bran oil.

All fruits are ok in small amounts, although citrus  or very acid fruits were not so good.  I found that using oil or protein with fruit helped the assimilation of the fruit sugar.  A banana mashed with an egg yolk, and a tablespoon of olive oil, with a little rice, and dessicated coconut, made a very good desert which was assimilated easily, without skin reaction.  This might not suit everybody with eczema or allergies though.  But generally, if you have a sugar disturbance, then eating oils or fats or protein with a fruit will aid the absorption of  its sugar content. Remember to munch a stalk of celery after each meal, especially if you have had a sweet dish. This is very important for children.

Alfalfa spouts:  These are very alkaline – one of the most alkaline foods of all.  Very good to include these in your daily salads.


Almond milk is excellent, combined with sesame or sunflower seeds.  This is a good calcium-rich substitute for dairy milk





Avocado and Avocado Oil


Beans – All dried beans were good.  Also fresh green beans


Beetroot – Grated raw beetroot in salads with grated apple.  Or cooked beetroot.

Besan Flour


Brown rice

Brussels Sprouts


Cabbage – Raw in Cole-slaw, or cooked.




Channa Flour


Coconut – Fresh or Dessicated coconut

Coconut Milk or Cream

Comfrey – If you can get it.  Comfrey is especially high in silica and other minerals which aid the growth of the teeth, hair, nails and bone.  I used comfrey tea quite frequently, and occasionally put a leaf in with the silver beet, maybe two or three times a week.   Very good to use in the diets of growing children.

Cornmeal – Both fine yellow cornmeal and coarse grain. Tinned kernels were also good.



Dates – We used a lot of dates on Walter Last’s recommendation.  Walter wrote a wonderful book called ‘Heal Yourself’. Dates are an ideal substitute for sweetening. I used dates to sweeten desserts, with coconut as well.  These sweets were not as sweet as if you were to use sugar, but the family got used to these less sweet desserts. We found dates did not cause an allergic reaction, whereas sugar, wheat and dairy foods, except for butter, did.

Eggs.  Only use Free-range eggs. Preferably organic.  2 raw egg yolks are taken daily on the Gerson diet. Raw egg yolk is healthy, but not raw egg white.  The white must be cooked. Raw egg yolk can be used with olive oil to make aioli, a Mediterranean substitute for butter.  Aioli is a great way to add more protein and olive oil into the diet, as it can be used as a salad dressing, as well as a dip, or a replacement for butter.


Fish – All fish was good, except for smoked fish or flavoured tinned fish. Tinned tuna, sardines in oil were good. I avoided tinned fish in sauces.


Grapes and Grapeseed Oil


Kumara or sweet potato





Mung Beans – Cooked and sprouted. Sprouted mung beans for salads are a great food, as they are rich in enzymes, vitamin C, and are alkaline in nature.


Olive Oil and Black Olives

Onions – red and white. Spring onion and chives. All the onion family are very good.



Pea Flour

Peppers – All peppers green and red



Raisins – Like sultanas, we only used these occasionally.  Dates were better.



Sesame Seeds and Sesame oil

Silver Beet (in moderation – I would not use this two days in a row, as I found it had too much oxalis acid to use too often)

Spinach (in moderation – same as for silver beet)

Sultanas – I used these only in moderation and not very frequently.  Dates were better for sweetening.


Sunflower Seeds and Sunflower Oil






All meats chicken and fish were used. I would say that we used more protein to replace wheat, generally, although we did use rice and cornmeal breads, and other grains from the list above on a daily basis.

We avoided all fermented foods while on this diet, including tofu and tempeh.  No vinegars, tomato sauce or soy sauces were used. Vinegars are yeast foods, which can cause candida. The above foods, generally, were good for treating candida. Fruits are used in moderation.  Too much fruit sugar can cause candida and eczema, which is why we used fruit in moderation.  We found fruit best if almonds or sunflower seed, or a drink of almond milk was taken at the same time.

Clean the Teeth with Alkaline Foods:  We used raw celery or carrot or apple at the end of any meal, especially if there was a dessert.  My children also had raw carrot apple,  and celery in their lunch boxes, to finish their meal, although they say they didn’t eat it very often.  However, I made sure that they did so at home.
