Lip Cancer Healed With Vit C Garlic and Ledum

Alternative Treatment For Basal Cell Carcinoma

This alternative remedy for a type of skin cancer took some time and much concerted effort, but I recently healed a lip cancer with megadoses of Vitamin C, Garlic Oil and Homeopathic Ledum.

The lip developed a major hole around October last year – 2013. A lot of RoundUp herbicide, which contains glyphosphate, was being sprayed around the flats where I lived, and about the town on all the grass verges. Spraying seemed to occur every two to three weeks. This stuff always affects my health adversely.

This was also a time, the beginning of spring, when I was doing a lot of gardening, and using commercial potting mix and so-called organic fertilizer.

The hole just would not go away, no matter how I kept it out of the sun, and no matter what sort of healing balms I applied.

I did notice that each time I went near the bags of organic fertilizer, and the pots which already had new potting mix in them, my lip became inflamed and sore.  I could feel the lip tingling in objection to my gardening materials.  It was also worse each time the glyphosphates was applied onto the grass near my flat.

So – I gave away all the organic fertilizer I had on hand, and moved my pots well away from the house.  That helped for a start.  I ALWAYS wore a sunhat and even a scarf, while the lip was not healing.  This went on for months, with several trips to the doctor to get a diagnosis and several prescriptions which had no good effect at all.

I was lined up to get a biopsy done at the hospital.  This has been done, a year later,  after I had healed it through natural treatments. The results show I have some basal cell carcinomas.

Now I know what works on this type of cancer, I will make the effort again to heal the other spots on my legs, arms and back.  These areas got much better while I was practicing my healing methods, but once the lip healed, I relaxed my efforts and so the other areas have worsened again.

This carcinoma has appeared on areas which have had excessive exposure to sun over the years, with the result that the skin is damaged.

How I Cured Basal Cell Carcinoma On The Lip

Vitamin C: Between 6000mg and 10,000 mg of non-acidic Vitamin C were taken each day.  I used whatever deals were cheapest – calcium ascorbate tablets of 1000mg – and ester C powder.  I took a tablet or two every two or three hours through the day.

This dosage was kept up for three to four weeks.  Then, on seeing how the carcinoma hole was getting smaller, with scar tissue showing on the edges, I reduced the dosage slowly to around half the original dose.

Then, around another month on, I reduced the dose to just a couple of 1000mg tablets per day, taken morning and night.  The Vitamin C treatment took around 3 months.

Garlic Oil:  This proved to be very effective, taken internally and also applied topically over the sore lip.  I bit a capsule open every few hours and applied the oil over the sore, then swallowed what was left of the capsule. I carried on applying garlic oil to the lip for around 3 months.

Homeopathic Ledum Cream:  Around twice or thrice a day in between the garlic oil applications, I applied homeopathic Ledum cream.  This had a wonderful soothing and healing effect. Right away you could feel the coolness of the Ledum, and the therapeutic effect it was having on the skin.

I continued the Ledum treatment for around 3 months, by which time the lip was healed.

Castor Oil: I took castor oil around once a week, to clear away toxins from the liver and intestines. Castor oil also has a healing effect on all parts of the body, as it seeps through to all body cells and helps to distribute nutrients. So that – combined with the neutralizing effect on toxins, and its cleansing effect, it is a remarkable healing agent.

Cut Out Wheat Milk and Sugar:  These were all eliminated from the diet whilst I was healing the lip. Instead, plenty of greens, soy milk, good quality protein and oatmeal porridge with grated raw apple formed the basis of the diet.  I allowed myself one good cup of brewed coffee per day, but took great care not to get the hot cup near my lip.  Heat on the lip was the worst thing, I found, so I reduced my hot drinks and used a straw to drink my coffee.

Homeopathic Thuja and Arsen Alb.  I used both these remedies for periods, using one remedy at a time.  Mainly, I used homeopathic Arsen Alb, as this remedy seems to work well for me as an immune-booster.  Whenever I feel a dose of flu or a cold coming on, I take Arsen Alb right away, and the flu is either avoided completely, or abated.

After a week or so on Arsen Alb, taking a few drops two or three times a day, I would switch to Thuja instead, and take that for a few days.  Thuja has a remarkable affect on the body by helping to neutralize poisons such as RoundUp and other herbicides and insecticides.  It is also good for the side-effects of vaccination.

Grated Raw Apple:  As well as the grated raw apple, eaten with a bowl of oatmeal porridge each morning, I ate one or two raw apples, grated before lunch and dinner.  Occasionally, I missed out on the lunch-time apple, but I always made sure I had raw apple at dinner-time. Altogether, I ate around 4 to 6 raw apples per day.

Dr Max Gerson used raw apple with oatmeal porridge in his famous cancer treatment.  He also used castor oil as part of his treatment, 2 tbsps taken every second morning, followed by a cup of black coffee.  I reduced the castor oil dosage this time, for the lip carcinoma, although I have strictly followed Gerson’s  castor oil method in the past, for healing a breast lump.

Asthma Sinus Hay Fever Not Pollen But Herbicides, Snail Bait Etc

Agriculture Pollution Causing Breathing Difficulties and Other Problems?

Pollution, Not Pollen.

NZ has one of the highest rates for asthma, hay-fever and sinus trouble in the world.  Yet people still do not make the connection between the heavy use of herbicides such as RoundUp, and insecticides such as common old snail bait and ant killers, as being the trigger for their miserable conditions.

Of course, pollen can cause hay fever and other maladies – but pollen is a short-lived trigger which is not going to damage your immune system for the long-term, unlike the chemical poisons being distributed around the environment, which can cause long-term harm.

Flu Vaccines and Antibiotics:  We can now be fairly sure that vaccination antibiotics  have a weakening effect on the immune system, making one prone to sinus and breathing difficulties, as well as eczema – a lady in my town had to be hospitalized after getting her flu injection.  She has had asthma ever since, with very debilitating effects.  This lady had never had asthma before this bad reaction to a flu injection.

Flu injections are optional in NZ, and I believe that people’s health is generally better off, overall, without them.  They can make one more vulnerable to such life-threatening diseases such as cancer and multiple sclerosis, as well as breathing difficulties, rheumatism and arthitis.

However, in many cases, we do not have any control over some allergies and breathing difficulties, because their cause is out of our control.  Farmers, householders, and council people can willy nilly spray any number and amount of very toxic poisons around our environment, and this affects the air we breathe, and, consequently, our health.

It is common in New Zealand for people, and their doctors, generally, to blame ‘the pollen’ for their asthma, hay-fever and sinus trouble.

I wonder when and how this fallacy was first promoted as an indisputable fact.  Was it a ploy cleverly devised by the makers of agricultural chemicals, so that their products would remain on sale unchallenged?  The ‘pollen’ myth seems to have been happily latched onto by farmers and house-holders all over the country, so they need not question the often harmful products which are so conveniently used to kill their garden pests and weeds.

In the town where I have been living for two years, ‘the pollen’ is a common daily topic of discussion right now.  It is spring-time, and so ‘the pollen is flying’ – the reason for their breathing difficulties and snotty noses, they think.

But there are many reasons the air here is polluted in the spring-time, and these, I think, are the reasons so many people here are sick with asthma, hay fever, and sinus troubles. The excessive pollution in this town is also the reason, I believe, that so many people here get cancer, arthritis,  shingles and other skin troubles, and other degenerative conditions.

Topdressing with super-phosphate is done on the farmlands surrounding the town, and so we cannot help breathing in super=phosphate-nitrate dust.   This increases breathing difficulties and other health problems.

Herbicides on crops is done aerially and by tractor on the outskirts of town, and these chemicals permeate the air we breathe – another addition to the toxins in the air here, which cause a myriad of health problems.

Around November last year, I almost drove into a helicopter spraying chemicals on crops just on the outskirt of the town.  It was crossing the road above my vehicle, spraying out poisonous chemicals as it zoomed overhead.

RoundUp herbicide, and other unknown herbicides, are poured by council on all our grass verges around the town, including around our housing complex. From around Sepember onwards, this spraying project is stepped up from around once a month to around every two weeks. Herbicides such as RoundUp have a deleterious effect on the health, commonly causing breathing difficulties such as asthma and digestive upsets.  It can also affect blood pressure and excacerbate heart ailments.  And I find it causes a shingle-like rash on the legs for people who do a lot of walking on sprayed pavements about the town.

But A Big Thankyou to our local council for considering my request not to spray around my house and garden.  I have been allowed to plant an orchard of heritage apple trees, with the promise that the grass verge around the garden will not be sprayed.  This is a huge step forward, I feel.

We have a milk-factory right in the town which began making milk-powder around 6 weeks ago.  Residue from this process is evident.  Overnight, cars only a few hundred yards away from the factory become coated with a white milky powder – yet, astoundingly, my neighbours, born and bred here, say that this white powder is pollen.  Some of their family members work in this factory, so I guess they do not want to question whether or not the factory is polluting the area.

Gardeners here just love to stock up on snail-bait and ant-killers.  These two commonly used products are very bad for the health. I have had recent experience of just how harmful some brands of snail-bait really are.  Last week, my neighbours on both sides of my flat poured around a whole packet each over their little gardens.  Overnight, many snails and worms were killed, and I worried about the birds eating these poisoned snails. Ant-killer was also put out onto the deck of my neighbour’s place, which is only around 20 feet from my own door.

The effect of these poisons on my own nervous system was profound.  My movements suddenly became jerky and unco-ordinated, my joints very sore and weak, and pains were noticed in the bones. It caused pronounced breathing difficulties, over and beyond the effect of the agricultural chemicals already in the air. I think I would have been diagnosed with asthma, had I gone to a doctor.  A visit for a few days, away from the town to Auckland, cleared the problem.

Funny how these days, at certain times of the year when agricultural spraying is done,  the  city can be a kinder place on the health than the New Zealand countryside.  We should be keeping bees on the roof-tops of our city buildings, and growing organic foods there too, as they do in Germany.  My sons who live and work in Berlin and Mainz have told me about their flourishing bee-hives and roof-top vege gardens.

Both my neighbouring friends have chronic health problems.  One gets asthma and hay-fever regularly at this time of the year.  This friend blames the pollen, of course.  From trees which are 100’s of metres away. The dairy factory is closer than the trees, but neither the dairy factory nor the air-borne sprays are considered at all as a cause for her current breathing problems.

The other neighbour, who does not use ant-killer, but does use snail-bait from time to time, has digestive problems and mysterious weakness.  I think the snail bait, which is right outside his door, is one of the main reasons for his ill health.  Recently he was taken to hospital with chronic pain in the gut. I explained how the snail bait affects my own health, and how the stuff, like |RoundUp, kills the healthy bacteria in the gut, which causes stomach problems, gut pain, and cramps. He listened, and said, ‘Maybe that’s the cause of my feeling sick’. He has decided not to continue using snail bait.

Funnily enough, I was down at the shop tonight, where my neighbours buy their gardening products, including snail bait.  Someone ahead of me was buying snail bait.  The young girl serving her said ‘Oh – snail bait.  Gosh – It always gives me stomach pains, even from handling this stuff here’.

I said I had just been very sick from my neighbours’ using it.  She understood me, but the lady buying the snail bait did not look so pleased to hear our stories. You could tell she was going to use it anyway, regardless.

Finally, we have a grain factory in our town, perhaps only 200 metres away from our houses.  It is often busy, noisily grinding away at night, and I imagine there will be dust escaping into the air from this plant.

Some people are beginning to listen to my arguments about the pollution in the air here, which will be contributing to their health problems.  But there is so much educating to be done.  This is an agricultural town which supplies farmers with their chemicals and machinery for efficient farming practice, and it might take years, if ever, for environmental and health issues to take precedence over profit and convenience.

NB One last note:  Our biggest supermarket, a flash new shop, is situated right next door to the town’s stock-yards, which attract hundreds of flies in the summertime, mainly because of the smell of animal poo.  As well, the stock trucks’ dumping site for effluent from the poor animals which are trucked here, is also next door to the supermarket, perhaps only 20 to 50 metres away.  You would think this should be considered to be a health risk by anybody with an ounce of common sense. Who approved this?

Apples To Prevent Cancer Diabetes Heart Disease

Medicinal Apples To Help Prevent Disease.

The health benefits of apples, especially those of the heritage variety, are truly remarkable.

Heritage apple trees, generally speaking, have a higher vitality, and a higher resistance to disease, than more modern commercial varieties.

It really is a very worthwhile thing to plant some heritage apple trees in your garden, such as the New Zealand Takapuna Russet, Northern Spy, Worcester Pearman, Sturmer, Lord Wolsely, and the cider apples Sidero Cidre and Yarlington Mill.

80% of the old heritage apples in America have died out due to modern commercial operations.  This is a very good reason to make the effort to plant some heritage varieties if you can.

Just this past week, I have been planting up a community orchard of heritage apple trees, and I am very fortunate to have a Takapuna Russet included in this garden of, so far, 21 trees.

The Takapuna Russet is one of the best apples to grow for your health, according to recent research. It is very high in vitamin C and other antioxidants. The Sturmer and Northern Spy, which are also part of my collection, are also well-known for their high Vitamin C content.

Others highly recommended for their phyto nutrients and polyphenols are the Belle de Boskoop, Bramley Seedling, Golden Russet and the Liberty.  Liberty is, according to the Raintree website, one of the highest in antioxidants available.

Dr Max Gerson famously used a grated raw apple, served with oatmeal porridge each morning, as part of his alternative cancer treatment. One whole, organic apple, skin and all, was grated and eaten every day by his cancer patients. Other important components to his diet were vegetable juices and salads, castor oil, to be taken every second day, and daily enemas.

Apples are rich in flavanoid antioxidants and benefical phytochemicals which are believed to help to prevent diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.  More about research on this below. Apples are also high in fibre, which is also important in resisting disease and in treating it.

Eating raw apples can  help to prevent asthma attacks, according to a UK survey of 1,500 people. This study showed that people who ate two or more apples per week were 22%-32% less likely to get asthma than those who did not eat this amount of apples. Read this in ‘Food Is Better Medicine Than Drugs’, written by Patrick Holford and Jerome Burne, 2006. Piatkus Books Limited, London.

These vital, natural, disease preventing chemicals of the heritage apple are found mostly in the skin and just under the skin of the apple, which is why you should eat the whole, unpeeled apple, and why unsprayed fruit should be sought or grown.

The pips of the apple are also high in beneficial compounds, especially in laetrile, or vitamin B17, which has been shown to be effective in helping to reduce some cancers.

Note:  Be cautious in your use of the apple pip.  If you are treating a disease such as cancer, then you need to build up your dose of laetrile gradually. Begin with just four or five pips per day and, depending on body weight, increase the dose to around ten to fifteen per day, to be eaten in divided doses.

Again, it is important to use unsprayed organic apples if you are going to be eating any of the pips, since the toxic chemicals used in spraying build up in high concentrations in the pips and kernels of fruit.

The old-fashioned heritage varieties of apple are, without a doubt, superior to most modern varieties of apple in many ways. Many of the heritage varieties have been shown by researchers to have a much higher quantity of these antioxidants and phytochemicals which help to prevent and fight diseases such as cancer.

Following trials already done overseas, research began in New Zealand in 2002 to compare the nutrient value of some older NZ apple varieties to more modern, sweeter, commercial varieties. This research was called ‘The Apple Cancer Research Project’.

Some of the findings of these 2002 New Zealand studies were published by The New Zealand Tree Crops Association in March, 2004. In this publication,

http://www.treecrops.org.nz/resrch/apple/applecanc.html

it was pointed out that the old-fashioned Red Delicious was higher in almost all nutrients to its modern-day equivalent, the Pacific Rose. The only beneficial compound to have higher levels in the Pacific Rose, over the Red Delicious, was chlorogenic acid. This compound, chlorogenic acid, is a powerful antioxidant. However, there were other varieties of heirloom apples which proved to have an even higher content of antioxidants than even the Red Delicious.

The two heritage varieties  in these NZ trials which stood out from all other varieties, rating higher than any other apple in almost all nutrient categories, were the Hetlina and Monty’s Surprise. So watch out for these varieties.

These two varieties along with ‘Fairbelle’, topped the list for the powerful antioxidant, chlorogenic acid.  You will see that the flesh contains the higher amount, over the skin.  But this is not an indication that the flesh is necessarily better for you than the skin, because there are other important cancer-preventing chemicals contained in the skin. The antioxidant quercetin is found in high quantities in the skin of the heritage apples.

The following comparisons  for chlorogenic acid will give you some  idea of the exceptional nutritive quality of these heritage apples.

Hetlina rated 1115.7 in the flesh, 117.3 in the skin.

Fairbelle 783 rated in the flesh, 56.5 in the skin.

Monty’s Surprise rated 614.5 in the flesh, 86.3 in the skin.

Egremont Russet 391.2 in the flesh, 73.8 in the skin.

Red Delicious 178.7 in the flesh, 3.3 in the skin.

Pacific Rose 306.7 in the flesh, 29.2 in the skin.

So – the research shows that heritage apples are overall much higher in nutritive value than modern commercial varieties. Kentish Filbasket, Sweet Alford, Apple Mother, Cox’s Orange, Gravenstein, Northern Spy, Sturmer, Takapuna Russet, Red Delicious, Sidero Cidre, Yarlington Mill, and many other old heritage apples are very good trees to grow for their health benefits.

Personally, I love the Belle de Boskoop which comes from the Netherlands.  It  originated from a chance seedling around 1856, and is now widely spread across Europe.  According to Wikipedia, the Belle de Boskoop apple beats the Granny Smith for Vitamin C  by up to four times as much.

You will also find these old-fashioned trees to have a higher resistance to disease, which means you have to worry less about black spot and other fungi or insects spoiling your crop.

The Heritage Russet apples were thought to be especially good for preventing and treating diabetes, as well might we guess, but more research is needed to make a scientific claim.

Best Natural Remedies For Rheumatoid Arthritis

Alternative Treatments To Pharmaceutical Drugs For Arthritis

Ginger roots,  Comfrey, Feverfew herb, Bromelain from pineapple, zinc, L–tryptophan, Vitamin B6 and 12, Vitamin E, megadoses of Vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate, and castor oil are all effective in helping to reduce pain and the inflammation which results from rheumatoid arthritis.

Many conventional medical drugs, used for treating rheumatoid arthritis, have proven to be either ineffective or harmful in the long run.  In fact, some doctors maintain that there has never been a pharmaceutical drug which improves the condition of rheumatoid arthritis.

Treat The Deficiencies and Detoxify:  The best way to treat rheumatoid arthritis is to treat the deficiencies in the body, and by using natural methods to detoxify.  As some doctors have said: There has never been found a pharmaceutical substance which has been proved necessary to the body’s function.  But minerals, vitamins and proteins, etc, are all vital to life and to the preserving of health.

The Efficacy Of Drugs such as prednisone, gold injections, methotrexate, sufasalazine and hydroxychloroquine, commonly prescribed as ‘anti-rheumatics’,  is debatable.  An international medical congrss held in Europe in the 1990’s decided that none of the drugs used for rheumatoid arthritis should be classified as ‘disease modifying.’

These very drugs which were meant to prevent joint destruction and deformity either did not work, or they made the condition worse. After ten years, most patients had given up on their medications because of the unsatisfactory nature of these so-called  ‘anti-rheumatic’ drugs.

Why is it then that these ineffective or harmful drugs for treating rheumatoid arthritis were made available to us  in the first place?

Answer: Because the American FDA, who approve these drugs for the use of Americans, and everybody else in the world, it seems, accept the findings of research done by the pharmaceutical companies themselves.

There is no neutral body which examines the findings of the pharmaceutical companies.

Their word is taken as fact, which means that many potentially harmful drugs go onto the market without their having been tested properly, or because the research findings conveniently overlook the possible side-effects.

This is why drugs come and go so frequently.  Often they only go when the disastrous effects of using them becomes common knowledge.

Fosamax is an interesting example of a drug still in use.  Yet in America there are lawyers who solely dedicate their work to people claiming damages from the drug companies making this drug and others like it. There are ‘Fosamax’ lawyers!!!!!

(see page 208 of Dr Toni Jeffreys book ‘Your Health At Risk’ to check out her argument against the FDA’s monopolization of the drug industry)

Natural Remedies are safer alternatives than most pharmaceutical drugs.

The two most important remedies in my estimation are Ginger Roots and Vitamin C in the non-acidic form. And I would have to add Castor Oil as a third essential remedy for helping to cure the condition of rheumatoid arthritis.

Ginger Roots For Treating Arthritis:

Ginger is one of the best known natural remedy for inflammation of any kind, including the inflammation from rheumatoid arthritis. Dr Toni Jeffreys believes that it is a top-notch herb for this disease.

Ginger is totally safe to use.  It is good for the digestion, is a mild natural anti-biotic, and a natural blood-thinner. It is very useful for treating cancer as well as other degenerative diseases such as arthritis.

Ginger is an anti-inflammatory and a pain reliever. According to Dr Toni Jeffreys, ginger is probably more likely to be effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis than any prescription drug you might take.

The other important reason as to why you should consider ginger above pharmaceutical preparations, is that it will not cause any adverse side-effects, which may be the case with medical drugs.

It can be used in powdered form, or the fresh ginger root can be grated and eaten or made into a tea. Take some after each meal, or have a cup of ginger root tea at each meal.

Calcium Ascorbate Vitamin C

Non-acidic vitamin C such as calcium ascorbate would be at the top of my list.

Calcium ascorbate is easy on the stomach, since it has been neutralized and is not acidic.  It aids digestion and helps to remove toxins from the body.  This is important, because it will actually dissolve harmful toxins around and within the joints over time.

Some people have had a reversal of their condition due to the fact that they took megadoses of calcium ascorbate over a period of time – say 6 months or longer.

The other bonus from taking calcium ascorbate daily is that it is a mild pain reliever.  Take 1000mg at night before you go to bed and you should sleep better than you have in a long while.

Depending on the severity of the condition, I would take between 2000mg to 8000mg per day, in separate doses of 1000mg each.

The idea would be to work up to the higher dose.  Begin with 2000mg per day and build the dose up after a few days.

Castor Oil:  This also helps in reducing the inflammation and pain of rheumatoid arthritis.

Using castor oil as part of his natural treatment, Dr Max Gerson cured many people of cancer and other degenerative conditions such as rheumatoid arthrits.

Dr Gerson used 2 tablespoons every second day for treating cancer and other diseases.  With this treatment, enemas must be used, and a diet of 80% or more raw foods and their juices are taken daily for a long time.

See my other posts on how to take castor oil for cancer and other diseases.

Gluten Free Tapioca Steamed Pudding

How To Make Gluten Free Tapioca Pudding On The Stove-Top

This is a really easy and quick Gluten-Free Dessert to make.  It is a steamed pudding, which means that it is not cooked in the oven, but on the stove top.  This conserves power.  The steamed pudding is a handy method to use  for when you go camping, or are holidaying in a place where kitchen facilities are limited.  All you need for your utensils are a stove-top or burner, a large saucepan with a lid, and a smaller enamel or stainless steel bowl to fit inside the saucepan.  The pudding basin should be large enough to hold the ingredients below, with a little room at the top for the pudding to swell when it heats up.

This is a never-fail recipe.  All you have to remember is to stir the pudding at the beginning of the cooking for a few minutes, and not to let the water boil away as it is cooking.  Check the water halfway through the cooking to make sure there is enough in the saucepan.

Now for the ingredients:

You will need

One large free range organic egg

Three tablespoons of tapioca powder, or tapioca flour.  Tapioca is a gluten-free root vegetable which is very nutritious and easily digested.

Three tablespoons of dessicated coconut

Two tablespoons of brown sugar OR honey OR  Two tablespoons of home made jam, such as quince jam.

Two cups of organic milk or soy milk

Pinch of Sea Salt

In your small enamel or stainless steel bowl, put the tapioca powder, coconut, sea salt, and the brown sugar or your jam or honey.  Gradually add enough milk to make a smooth paste, and then stir in the rest of the milk.  Beat the egg lightly in a cup with a fork, and stir into the tapioca and milk mixture.

Now put two cups of water into your saucepan and put it on the stove to boil.  When the water has reached boiling point, take the saucepan off the heat while you carefully put in the bowl which contains the tapioca pudding.  Make sure that you do not burn yourself with the boiling water in the saucepan.  The bowl of pudding should sit inside the saucepan, with the water coming up to about halfway up the bowl.  The water should not go inside the bowl, so make sure the water level is well below the top level of the pudding basin.

Put the saucepan with its pudding inside  carefully back onto the stove with the lid on.  Turn up the heat just for a minute, until it begins to simmer.  Then turn the heat down to low.  The water should be just bubbling lightly.

After a couple of minutes, take off the lid and stir the pudding for a bit, so that it mixes in smoothly with the milk.    Be careful, again, not to burn yourself with the boiling water in the saucepan.  Then put the lid back onto the pudding for two more minutes.  Then, take the lid off and stir the pudding again, this time for a little longer, as the tapioca will be starting to thicken up.  Stir for several minutes,  then put the lid back on.  This time, there is no need to keep stirring.  Simply cook the pudding in the saucepan for around another 20 minutes.  Now you can turn off the heat.  Leave the pudding to sit in the saucepan, with the heat turned off, for ten minutes.  Then serve. The whole cooking period should be no more than half an hour, with an added 10 minutes to leave the pudding to sit.

If you want to make a larger pudding to serve more people, then simply double the recipe and use a larger bowl.  The method is exactly the same.

Dates or sultanas or other dried fruit can be used instead of the sugar if you wish to avoid sugar.

This gluten free tapioca steamed pudding is protein-rich and is a good food to nourish growing children or to strengthen older, frail people. It is a very delicious, creamy pudding.
