Global Amnesia Cause Probably RoundUp Glyphosate Formaldehyde

Toxic Herbicides

Temporary Global Amnesia Probably Caused By Glyphosate In RoundUp, and Formaldehyde In Dye and Cosmetics.

Memory Loss as well as asthma, could be linked to environmental poisons. The proliferation of glyphosate, in RoundUp, around our local environments is no doubt causing health problems for many people.  These health problems, I am sure, are often misdiagnosed, or misunderstood as to their simple cause.

A quote from the ‘Otago Daily Times’, Friday 10th February, 2017::

‘Any frontal attack on ignorance is bound to fail because the masses are always ready to defend their most precious possession, their ignorance.’  Thus spake Hendrik Willem van Loon, a Dutch-American journalist and lecturer (1882-1944).

I am frequently reminded of this idea, as I go about my business trying to educate people as to the extremely harmful effects of toxic herbicides and pesticides-insecticides.  Many people still wish to believe that their asthma, hay-fever or sinus problems, are entirely due to pollen, and the time of year known as the ‘hay-fever’ season.

Meanwhile, hundreds of bees die after a deluge of poison spray was distributed around the outlying areas of Dunedin.  The destruction of the natural environment is plain for all to see, but still, people do not make the connection between massive spraying programmes, which usually occur over the summer period, and their ill-health. They can walk for miles on country roads which have been sprayed heavily with toxic stuff, and afterward still blame their ‘hay-fever’ on flying pollen.

We have been brain-washed.  We have been conditioned into accepting the eye-sore of sprayed verges, and the bad consequences to health and environment are conveniently overlooked by our brains. People seem to be blind to the toxic, yellowed and dying grasses and herbs on each side of the road, and do not consider that the spray which has killed the grasses will also kill insects, bees, birds, and ultimately affect our own health and the health of our pets.

I have been taking regular long walks with a neighbour who knows the Dunedin area well.  Wonderful walks they are, when they are not spoilt by toxic herbicides such as Round-Up.  Unfortunately, these country roads have been sprayed heavily since around Christmas time, 2016. Last week, on Thursday 9th February 2017, we went to do another country walk up near the Brockville reservoir, but I had to turn back because of the spray which still smelt strongly, and which had killed off miles of grass, as far as we could see, down the hill, along both sides of the roadway.

I thought it was prudent to decline this walking experience, since I had become very ill a couple of weeks ago, with excruciating chest pain around the left lung, after walking for an hour and a half down roads which were ALL sprayed heavily with what I guess was Monsanto’s glyphosate-containing Round-Up herbicide. This walk had resulted in sudden water in the middle ear, which came on the same night after exposure to the spray. A couple of days later, chest pain was so severe, and breathing was so alarmingly difficult, that I worried I might have asthma, and would have to go to hospital for some oxygen.

Fortunately, Homeopathic Bryonia and Ferr phos came to the rescue, along with large doses of Vitamin C, bedrest and a hot-water bottle over the chest.

I really did not want another hospital visit:  On New Year’s Eve, 2016, I was taken to Dunedin Hospital  after suddenly collapsing from some mysterious cause.  There, I was treated very well and very kindly by all staff, thoroughly examined, with blood tests, X-Rays, brain scan – the works.  Nothing could be found which could be the cause of this ‘Temporary Global Amnesia’ which had struck me down.

I am fairly sure now what the main cause was -it was, and is, the RoundUp spraying which has been happening around Dunedin and its outskirts.  We had taken several long walks down country roads which had been sprayed about this time.

The other, secondary, cause which I suspect is formaldehyde which was in the new lip-stick I had been wearing each day for around a month or more, and in the new socks I had been wearing.

These brand new, Chinese-made, black socks I had been wearing still smelt strongly of dye after they had been washed.  It was not at all sensible to be wearing these suspect socks, as I knew that cheap Chinese dyed fabrics often had formaldehyde traces far beyond that which was considered  acceptable by our health authorities.  But still I wore them, because I was in a hurry that day.

I had to go to Mosgiel:  on the way over there on the bus, and coming back, I saw many work-people spraying and culling out weeds and plants along the motorway’s edge.

I began to feel very strange and sick in Mosgiel.  By the time I had gone back home, taking two buses to reach there, still wearing the dubious new black-dyed socks, as well as the new lip-stick, I was nearing collapse.  My memory failed me, and all I could see at one stage was white light.

At the hospital, I was worried I had left my teeth somewhere. I remember telling the ambulance man I had lost them.  ‘Never mind, we will find them’, he said with great assurance.

After something to eat and drink, and a comfortable bed to lie in, my memory seemed to restore itself. I remembered I had not lost my teeth at all, because I had not worn false teeth for years.  Formaldehyde and other toxins in the plastic denture had caused problems with nerves and memory in the past, so I had thrown them away. I told this to the good doctor who commented on the lip-stick “But you didn’t forget your lip-stick’, he said, looking at my lips which I had just smeared over with the new lip-stick again.  As if lip-stick could disguise the fact I had no teeth.  Very funny, really.

‘Do you believe in God?’ he asked.  I said ‘yes’.  ‘Well – all tests are normal.  I think God is trying to tell you something’, he said, gazing at my painted lips.

I considered the lipstick and how I had thought it probably unsafe the first time I had used it. It had caused a burning sensation on the lips, but with a cold taste which I suspected was formaldehyde. I had foolishly continued to use it.

I remembered also how my health had been affected each time the council sprayed RoundUp-glyphosate around the town, including our gardens and doorways in Morrinsville.  It always caused a myriad of symptoms, often appearing as if I had the flu, but the most alarming thing was that it affected my brain.  I would get these sudden lapses of memory, with white light flashing, and feel that I was about to collapse.  This feeling was reminiscent of being overdosed with formaldehyde, which happened when I had peritonitis at the age of five years.

Medical science had only recently discovered the antiseptic qualities of formaldehyde around 1955-56, when my life was saved by an urgent operation on the appendix.

Hospitals had gone overboard on the use of formaldehyde.  A glass of it lay on the table beside each  hospital bed, and in the glass was kept the thermometer.  The hospital staff used to come around regularly to take my temperature, just as I was recovering from the effects of the formaldehyde from the last temperature reading.  They would simply take the thermometer out of the glass, shake it a bit, and put it straight into your mouth.  Then I would see the white light, and I would be out-to-it for goodness knows how long.

I tried battling the hospital staff to refuse the thermometer being stuck into my mouth, as I knew it was the stuff in the glass which was making me pass out and lose my memory and bearings.  But to no avail.  They knew the effect of the formaldehyde, I am sure, and so with a bit more effort on their part, with the thermometer thrust in my mouth, they would have me silenced for a few hours again.

I have a clear memory of just how distressed I was after the experience of formaldehyde poisoning at the hospital. My mother used carbon tetrachloride as a dry cleaner.  This smelt so remarkably like the formaldehyde in the glass by the bed at the hospital.  She only needed to take off the cap, or even take down the bottle of carbon tetrachloride, and I would scream, terrified, and run outside to escape being suffocated by the fumes.

So, I am more sensitive than most people to harmful, toxic chemicals such as glyphosate, RoundUp and formaldehyde, but I believe everybody suffers some sort of ill health as a result of exposure to these poisons. In some people, annoying hay-fever or sinus trouble could be evident, but in others, cancer, asthma, arthritis, and other degenerative disease could eventuate if one experiences  continual or regular exposure to harmful toxic chemicals and sprays.

WHO, World Health Organization, have declared glyphosate in RoundUp, marketed by Monsanto, to be a probable cause of cancer.  I believe, as well as cancer and candida problems,  it is a probable cause of many types of brain malfunction, including memory loss, arthritis, bone problems, and nervous system diseases such as multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s.

Asthma Sinus Hay Fever Not Pollen But Herbicides, Snail Bait Etc

Agriculture Pollution Causing Breathing Difficulties and Other Problems?

Pollution, Not Pollen.

NZ has one of the highest rates for asthma, hay-fever and sinus trouble in the world.  Yet people still do not make the connection between the heavy use of herbicides such as RoundUp, and insecticides such as common old snail bait and ant killers, as being the trigger for their miserable conditions.

Of course, pollen can cause hay fever and other maladies – but pollen is a short-lived trigger which is not going to damage your immune system for the long-term, unlike the chemical poisons being distributed around the environment, which can cause long-term harm.

Flu Vaccines and Antibiotics:  We can now be fairly sure that vaccination antibiotics  have a weakening effect on the immune system, making one prone to sinus and breathing difficulties, as well as eczema – a lady in my town had to be hospitalized after getting her flu injection.  She has had asthma ever since, with very debilitating effects.  This lady had never had asthma before this bad reaction to a flu injection.

Flu injections are optional in NZ, and I believe that people’s health is generally better off, overall, without them.  They can make one more vulnerable to such life-threatening diseases such as cancer and multiple sclerosis, as well as breathing difficulties, rheumatism and arthitis.

However, in many cases, we do not have any control over some allergies and breathing difficulties, because their cause is out of our control.  Farmers, householders, and council people can willy nilly spray any number and amount of very toxic poisons around our environment, and this affects the air we breathe, and, consequently, our health.

It is common in New Zealand for people, and their doctors, generally, to blame ‘the pollen’ for their asthma, hay-fever and sinus trouble.

I wonder when and how this fallacy was first promoted as an indisputable fact.  Was it a ploy cleverly devised by the makers of agricultural chemicals, so that their products would remain on sale unchallenged?  The ‘pollen’ myth seems to have been happily latched onto by farmers and house-holders all over the country, so they need not question the often harmful products which are so conveniently used to kill their garden pests and weeds.

In the town where I have been living for two years, ‘the pollen’ is a common daily topic of discussion right now.  It is spring-time, and so ‘the pollen is flying’ – the reason for their breathing difficulties and snotty noses, they think.

But there are many reasons the air here is polluted in the spring-time, and these, I think, are the reasons so many people here are sick with asthma, hay fever, and sinus troubles. The excessive pollution in this town is also the reason, I believe, that so many people here get cancer, arthritis,  shingles and other skin troubles, and other degenerative conditions.

Topdressing with super-phosphate is done on the farmlands surrounding the town, and so we cannot help breathing in super=phosphate-nitrate dust.   This increases breathing difficulties and other health problems.

Herbicides on crops is done aerially and by tractor on the outskirts of town, and these chemicals permeate the air we breathe – another addition to the toxins in the air here, which cause a myriad of health problems.

Around November last year, I almost drove into a helicopter spraying chemicals on crops just on the outskirt of the town.  It was crossing the road above my vehicle, spraying out poisonous chemicals as it zoomed overhead.

RoundUp herbicide, and other unknown herbicides, are poured by council on all our grass verges around the town, including around our housing complex. From around Sepember onwards, this spraying project is stepped up from around once a month to around every two weeks. Herbicides such as RoundUp have a deleterious effect on the health, commonly causing breathing difficulties such as asthma and digestive upsets.  It can also affect blood pressure and excacerbate heart ailments.  And I find it causes a shingle-like rash on the legs for people who do a lot of walking on sprayed pavements about the town.

But A Big Thankyou to our local council for considering my request not to spray around my house and garden.  I have been allowed to plant an orchard of heritage apple trees, with the promise that the grass verge around the garden will not be sprayed.  This is a huge step forward, I feel.

We have a milk-factory right in the town which began making milk-powder around 6 weeks ago.  Residue from this process is evident.  Overnight, cars only a few hundred yards away from the factory become coated with a white milky powder – yet, astoundingly, my neighbours, born and bred here, say that this white powder is pollen.  Some of their family members work in this factory, so I guess they do not want to question whether or not the factory is polluting the area.

Gardeners here just love to stock up on snail-bait and ant-killers.  These two commonly used products are very bad for the health. I have had recent experience of just how harmful some brands of snail-bait really are.  Last week, my neighbours on both sides of my flat poured around a whole packet each over their little gardens.  Overnight, many snails and worms were killed, and I worried about the birds eating these poisoned snails. Ant-killer was also put out onto the deck of my neighbour’s place, which is only around 20 feet from my own door.

The effect of these poisons on my own nervous system was profound.  My movements suddenly became jerky and unco-ordinated, my joints very sore and weak, and pains were noticed in the bones. It caused pronounced breathing difficulties, over and beyond the effect of the agricultural chemicals already in the air. I think I would have been diagnosed with asthma, had I gone to a doctor.  A visit for a few days, away from the town to Auckland, cleared the problem.

Funny how these days, at certain times of the year when agricultural spraying is done,  the  city can be a kinder place on the health than the New Zealand countryside.  We should be keeping bees on the roof-tops of our city buildings, and growing organic foods there too, as they do in Germany.  My sons who live and work in Berlin and Mainz have told me about their flourishing bee-hives and roof-top vege gardens.

Both my neighbouring friends have chronic health problems.  One gets asthma and hay-fever regularly at this time of the year.  This friend blames the pollen, of course.  From trees which are 100’s of metres away. The dairy factory is closer than the trees, but neither the dairy factory nor the air-borne sprays are considered at all as a cause for her current breathing problems.

The other neighbour, who does not use ant-killer, but does use snail-bait from time to time, has digestive problems and mysterious weakness.  I think the snail bait, which is right outside his door, is one of the main reasons for his ill health.  Recently he was taken to hospital with chronic pain in the gut. I explained how the snail bait affects my own health, and how the stuff, like |RoundUp, kills the healthy bacteria in the gut, which causes stomach problems, gut pain, and cramps. He listened, and said, ‘Maybe that’s the cause of my feeling sick’. He has decided not to continue using snail bait.

Funnily enough, I was down at the shop tonight, where my neighbours buy their gardening products, including snail bait.  Someone ahead of me was buying snail bait.  The young girl serving her said ‘Oh – snail bait.  Gosh – It always gives me stomach pains, even from handling this stuff here’.

I said I had just been very sick from my neighbours’ using it.  She understood me, but the lady buying the snail bait did not look so pleased to hear our stories. You could tell she was going to use it anyway, regardless.

Finally, we have a grain factory in our town, perhaps only 200 metres away from our houses.  It is often busy, noisily grinding away at night, and I imagine there will be dust escaping into the air from this plant.

Some people are beginning to listen to my arguments about the pollution in the air here, which will be contributing to their health problems.  But there is so much educating to be done.  This is an agricultural town which supplies farmers with their chemicals and machinery for efficient farming practice, and it might take years, if ever, for environmental and health issues to take precedence over profit and convenience.

NB One last note:  Our biggest supermarket, a flash new shop, is situated right next door to the town’s stock-yards, which attract hundreds of flies in the summertime, mainly because of the smell of animal poo.  As well, the stock trucks’ dumping site for effluent from the poor animals which are trucked here, is also next door to the supermarket, perhaps only 20 to 50 metres away.  You would think this should be considered to be a health risk by anybody with an ounce of common sense. Who approved this?

Homeopathic Medicine Can Help Eyesight

Eyesight Problems

The Eyes Are The Barometer Of The Body, The Mirror Of The Soul.  The health of the nervous system is reflected in the eyes.  Eyes are the most sensitive part of the body, and so the condition and health of the eyes can tell you how strong and healthy the rest of your body is.  Eyes are the first thing affected if you are exposed to chemical pollutants of any kind.  People who are exposed to excessive amounts of radiation usually suffer blindness, even if they do not succumb right away to cancer.

Today is June 2nd 2011. I am pleased to say that my eyesight is recovering again, with the help of homeopathic medicine.  My eyesight has taken a bit of a beating the past few months, and this resulted in a sudden alarming condition which affected the vision in the left eye.

Well, there are several  factors which I think contributed towards the sudden deterioration:  For a start, I have been using the computer on almost a daily basis.  This is not good for anyone’s eyesight, and I think is even worse than watching TV for long periods, as the screen is so close to the face.

Radiation Damages Eyesight: The second thing which really affected my eyesight, and the general nervous system, was the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster:  Although i live in New Zealand, which many ‘experts’ say will not be affected by the nuclear fall-out from Japan for years and years, there WAS radioactive pollution which came here.  We had two clouds of it – the first arrived about the 20th march, around 10 days after the tsunami tragedy.  This lasted around 10 days again.  Then there was a break of around 10 days or so, and another burst of the pollution hit the Auckland area.  This affected the eyesight very profoundly, causing a blurring of the vision and very sore burning eyes.  These symptoms were accompanied by running nose, immense stabbing headache, nerve pains, painful bone pains, breathing difficulty, depression and lethargy.  Heart and circulation were also affected.

I stayed inside as much as possible during these periods, and refrained from drinking tap water, milk and freshly picked green vegetables.

After the pollution left, I still had some of the symptoms.  Lungs still felt corroded, and the bone pains continued to a certain extent.  It was as if a virus had suddenly invaded my body and would not leave.  Then, I had a friend come to me from Spirit who literally said in my ear ‘Bryonia’.  Well, I have not kept remedies in the house for years now.  I find that i am sensitive to remedies, even as they sit in their bottles, especially if a few of them are kept together in a cupboard.  So I did not take the Bryonia right away.  Eventually, with several more messages to take homeopathic Bryonia, I went and bought this specific remedy.  As soon as I began to take it, all the uncomfortable and distressing symptoms of chest, lungs and heart disappeared. I continued the remedy for around three days and then discontinued, as the symptoms had all vanished.

The third major mishap which affected my eyesight was that the owners of my rental accommodation sprayed very toxic chemicals around the house. This came a couple of months after the Japanese earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster of 11 March, 2011, just as I thought things were improving environmentally, at least.  These were pesticides to kill ants, and herbicides to kill weeds.  Chemicals affect eyesight very badly – I believe everyone’s eyesight is damaged to some extent when herbicide and pesticide chemicals are used near to one’s house or work-place.

Insecticides and Pesticides  Damage Eyesight: These are designed to affect the nervous systems of insects and rodents, and so these chemicals will also affect the nervous systems of people.  Even though you do not physically ingest the chemical through food, as insects and rodents do, simply breathing it in from the air around you, and touching traces on surfaces of your house and clothing, your nervous system and its very vulnerable eyesight will be affected for the worse.

So – all symptoms of radiation sickness disappeared with Bryonia, except for the eyesight which was still not completely recovered.

As well as all the chemical pollutants coming my way, I had an ‘accident’ where I scraped my left eyeball with my nail – I attribute Saturn retrograde over my Mercury, Venus and Neptune in Libra to my propensity to physical and mental stress during this time:  Saturn will be retrograde until the 13th June, less than 2 weeks away.  Hooray…… At first, there seemed to be no apparent damage to the eyesight.  I thought nothing more about this.  Until….

Just less than 2 weeks ago, i awoke to find my eyesight impaired in the left eye.  A large black scar was right across the centre of my vision in this eye.  The other complaint with the left eye was a continual twitching of the eye lid.  I rested, and took dietary remedial measures.   A few days later, just as soon as it had appeared, the black scar disappeared.  But I awoke to find that it seemed to have exploded into many, many black dots which were all about the left side of the left eye.  The twitching of the eye muscles continued.

I did some research into homeopathic remedies.  I went over to the health Shop to purchase my chosen remedies.  The only remedy  on my list which they had for the eyes was called homeopathic Euphrasia 30c.  I took this one, and put my order in for several other remedies, which I will tell you about tomorrow.

Anyway – I immediately began taking the  homeopathic Euphrasia. It had the immediate effect of soothing the nerves.   The twitching of the eye lid stopped within about 12 hours of beginning taking the remedy.  The same day, in fact.  Whereas the eye had involuntarily twitched for about a week, it stopped after I began taking the Euphrasia, before the day was out. Three days later after taking Euphrasia and continuing it for three days,  my eye-sight is almost back to normal.  The many black dots have just about disappeared.

However, the eye still feels as if it is slightly congested inside the eye, and so I am continuing treatment for a bit:

I have switched to homeopathic Agaricus Muscarius 30c, 2nd June 2011.  Along with the impaired vision, I had incredibly stiffness of the spine and back muscles which came on quite suddenly.  There was also some aching in the shin bone, and some rhinitis in the left sinus area, the same side as the affected eye.  Well, Agaricus Muscaria is a specific for all of these symptoms, as well as for black spots over the field of vision, , colour blindness,  night blindness, and strange flying objects in the field of vision.  Agaricus Muscarius has the ability to strengthen the optic nerve, which good vision depends upon.

My vision is improving by the day with the Homeopathic Agaricus 30c treatment.   I am so glad that I chose to use homeopathic medicine to try to cure the eye ailments, before going to the eye specialist as friends suggested.  If I had done that, I would have been given some medication to stop the twitching, and glasses for sure, but the root cause of the problem would not have been addressed.

It is early days yet, and who knows – I might still end up going in to see the eye doctor…….But so far, so good……

P.S. Time To Stop Treatment:  By Sunday the 5th June 2011, I had the feeling that Agaricus had done its work – that no more progress would be made with Agaricus Muscaria.  However, I continued to take it for that Sunday and the following Monday, despite the sense that I should stop.  I wanted to see what would happen.  That Sunday night I began to feel quite restless, and a sadness seemed to be with me. The next day, by the evening, when I had the last dose, there was no doubt that Agaricus had done its work.  Some of the symptoms which Agaricus had cleared up for me, like the stiff spine, aching shin bones, sinus trouble, sneezing, etc, were evident after that last dose Monday night.  It made me also feel suddenly incredibly restless again, slightly depressed and anxious at the same time.  I felt the blood pressure building up around the eye again, and also around the left ear.   So that was it: Now I must STOP the medication, because it had done its work:  Any more would reverse the progress made.   I took a couple of cups of black tea to antidote the remedy, which it did immediately.  Coffee is usually the thing to antidote a remedy, but I did not want to take the chance, in case the coffee added to the slight hypertension and other symptoms which I was experiencing.

Black tea worked a treat as an antidote to Agaricus. Black tea stopped the effect of the Agaricus just as soon as I swallowed a few sips of tea.  I think black ceylon tea would work as an antidote to many homeopathic remedies. Now I know that three days treatment of Agaricus Muscaria 30c is enough. I  stopped taking Agaricus Muscaria on the fifth day of taking this remedy, when three days would have been enough.  This remedy followed three days on Euphrasia.

My eyesight is almost back to normal. The bone aches, twitches of eyelids, eczema, and all other symptoms have disappeared because of taking the two remedies which I took principally to heal my eyesight.

Improve Your Eyesight Naturally

Poor nutrition, inadequate water and lack of eye-movement exercise can cause a weakening of the eye-sight.

Environmental hazards like formaldehyde, which is found in compacted chip-wood for floors, will cause your eye-sight to deteriorate quite rapidly if you are daily exposed to the toxin. If you live in a house which has a particle board floor, then over time, your eye-sight will deteriorate, your memory will suffer, and you will probably become depressed with all of this as well.

However, provided you are not constantly being exposed to poisons, then these following ideas will help you to improve your eye-sight.

Of course, daily general exercise such as swimming, walking, cycling, or yoga, will help the general health, and your chosen daily exercise will help your eye-sight too, because this will get that blood circulating. A healthy flow of blood has the effect of better nourishing the eyes with the fluid, proteins, minerals and vitamins which they need for their healthy functioning.

Exercise also helps to keep the blood clean by working the abdominal muscles: this aids the removal of effete matter from the intestines, so that the blood which reaches your eyes will be free of harmful toxins.

But more about the eye-movement exercises:  Much improvement in eye-sight can be observed (excuse the pun) when such simple exercises as the ones out-lined here are done on a daily basis. They really are so dreadfully easy to do, and can take almost no time at all if you practice them whilst travelling on a bus, or whilst watching a bit of T.V. Don’t do them while sitting in your car, though, as you may become so absorbed in your exercises that you fail to see that green light.

Many of us city dwellers who have desk jobs, or who pore over books or computers all day long, or mozie around the house once the children have flown the coup, do not use our eye muscles, or the change of focus mechanism, anything like half as much as what we should. Our eyes become lazy, as we get used to working within the same frame of focus for much of the day.

Extreme vertical or horizontal movements of the eyes are made redundant as we fix our gaze on our screens, with something like a short 15 degree angle only being all that is necessary to catch sight of the keyboard, and this at more or less the same distance as the screen from the eyes, which means that the eyes have to do very little re-focussing. Our heads become kind of frozen into a forward-leaning posture when we are thus stuck at a desk or a piano or a television, which does not give us much of a range of distances and angles for the eyes to explore.

Now there is a definite relationship between the movement of the eyes and the nasal and sinus passages:

When the eyes become lazy, the nerves and muscles which prompt the sinuses into releasing mucous become lazy too. The result is sinus trouble – a congestion in the nasal area, which directly affects the nerves of the eyes and your vision. Weak eye-sight is often the direct result of sinus congestion.

You can test this theory for yourself by doing a few rounds of these yoga breathing eye exercises. You will notice that the sinus passages will release fluid as you do these exercises. You should keep up the practice for several minutes, with variations, until the sinus passages are cleared of mucous. The muscles and nerves of the eyes will thus be toned up, especially if you practice the exercises on a daily basis, and this will have the effect of strengthening your eye-sight.

CIRCULAR MOTION OF THE EYES:  You can do this exercise either sitting or standing. Do not strain the eyes by pushing them too hard initially. Begin by looking straight ahead. You do not move the head for this exercise, but rather make the eyes do all the work. Look up as far as you can to the ceiling. Slowly bring the eyes down in a circular motion, stretching out the angle to the side as far as you can to catch sight of the objects to the side of you. Keep moving the eyes slowly until you are looking downwards as far as you can to the floor. Keep the head erect – eyes do the work. Come upwards to the left side slowly, again, reaching out as far as you can with the eye movement so that you see all objects as far to the left as you can. Keep moving slowly upwards. This is one round. Do three rounds, then reverse the direction to do three anti-clockwise movements.

PALM THE EYES To give the eyes a little rest, rub the palms of the hands vigorously together. Put your warmed hands over the closed eyes for a minute. Breathe evenly and deeply, imagining the vital force from your hands going directly into the eyes to strengthen and heal them.

VERTICAL EYE MOVEMENTS Now slowly look upwards. Stretch upward with the eyes as much as you, can without straining, or course. Breathe in as you reach upwards with the eye movement, breathe out as you slowly draw the eyes down to the floor. Breathe in as you raise the eyes to the ceiling. Do three rounds.

HORIZONTAL MOVEMENTS. Moving the eyes slowly, again whilst keeping the head still, look to the far right. Bring the eyes back to the center and then slowly move the gaze to the far left, trying to focus on something each time. Come back to the center. Repeat three times. Coordinating the breathing with the exercise gives more power to the exercise. Breathe in as you look to the side, and out as you return the gaze to the center.

HEAD ROLLS. This exercise stimulates the blood flow to the brain and to the eyes. It also helps the flow of chi down the spine. Simply drop the head forward onto the chest. Breathing in slowly, slowly move the head towards the right shoulder. Keep moving slowly upwards, rolling the head gently backwards, over the top of the spine, and over to the left shoulder. Your lungs should be full of air now. Slowly begin dropping the head down from the left shoulder as you breathe out. Keep moving down until the head touches the chest. Repeat three times, then reverse the direction.

HEAD DROPS Now, breathing out, drop the head sideways onto the right shoulder. Breathing in, lift the head back up to the erect position. Do three times. Drop to the chest as you breathe out, lift up as you breathe in. Repeat three times. Drop the head the same way to the left shoulder, slowly, three times. Drop the head backwards as far as is comfortable. Bring to the erect position and repeat slowly twice more.

DIAGONALS Next, look up to the very top right corner of your field of vision. Bring the focus downwards to the centre so that you are looking straight ahead. Keep moving the eyes in a diagonal direction until they are looking down at the left hand corner. Come back slowly to the centre and continue up towards the top right hand corner. Repeat until you have done three rounds. Repeat the whole exercise beginning at the top left hand corner. It is, again, more beneficial if you can coordinate the breathing with these exercises. Breathe in as you look up, and breathe out as you draw the eyes to the floor. Keep the breathing fluid and steady, with fluid and steady eye movements accompanying the breathing.

ACUPUNCTURE given to relieve sinus congestion will very often have the effect of sharpening your focus and improving short and long focussed vision. Visit a registered acupuncturist to get advice on this. Alternatively, you could do self-acupressure to help the situation. See our post on acupressure for the eyes.
