Help Stop Smoking With Baking Soda

November 11th, 2010

Baking Soda is Alkaline. It can help to neutralize toxins in the body and reduce acidity.  A less acid body is less stressful and may help you to recover from addictions. However, if you are on medications, or low sodium diet, then you should ask your doctor or naturopath before using baking soda. It is good to be a non-smoker.  Give it up and become more healthy.  Enjoy the fresh air and those lovely walks again, without getting puffed-out. Addicts of tobacco and alcohol and other drugs notoriously favour acid-forming foods such as  red meats, pork, coffee, and dairy foods, sugar and wheat-foods ...

Causes Of Dizziness Can Be Environmental and Lazy Bowels

November 6th, 2010

Drugs Or Detox: Dizzy Spells Can Be Caused By Chemical Poisoning There is an advertisement which has been running for several weeks now on New Zealand television.  This is an ad put on by 'Sovereign' NZ doctors, which encourages people to go and see their doctor or one of their many specialists. That is all very well - we all need to see a doctor sometimes for emergency situations, such as an injury, and sometimes for genuine long-standing health complaints. Sometimes people really do need to take long term medication. However, I dislike this advertisement particularly because it gives the impression that medications are ...

Is Autism Related To Vaccinations

October 3rd, 2010

It discussed the idea that mercury and other environmental poisons might be to blame for autism.  Mercury is an added component to some vaccinations. Photo by Merrilyn, Decembewr 2012, of a healthy child who is NOT autistic and who has never had any vaccinations. It is a shame the documentary was shown so late:  Midnight on Sunday night wouldn't have impacted very well on the public, as most people are in bed ...

Preventative Medicine

August 30th, 2010

Preventative Medicine is really what it should all  be about:  far better to prevent a malady of the health rather than wait for it to happen, and then have to seek  drug treatments which are expensive and which, most probably, will not cure the condition anyway. Just how popular is 'Preventative Medicine'?  How much do people really care about 'Preventative Medicine'? Today is the 30th August 2010, and there are only 11 searches recorded for the day in Google's search engine for 'Preventative Medicine', which is nothing really, considering that there are 177 searches for 'warfarin' and 177 for 'side effects of warfarin'.  Imagine that - 177 ...

July 11th, 2010

Uplifting Herbal Remedies: There are many herbal remedies for depression which are easily obtainable, and which have been proven to be effective in treating depression. It is a good idea to get professional help if you are depressed. Go to your doctor, your acupuncturist, naturopath or health professional for advice. You should discuss the information below with your health professional before beginning any treatment. First of all - check that you do not have SAD, or seasonal affective disorder. If SAD is the reason you are depressed, then increasing exposure of the body to natural sunlight on a regular basis,  and  supplementing the diet with Vitamin D rich ...
