Dandelion Leaves Recommended To Lower Blood Pressure

May 12th, 2016

Natural Remedy A friend of mine went to her doctor recently because she felt her blood pressure was not right.  She has never suffered high blood pressure before. Her blood pressure was tested and found to be on the high side, although not dangerously so.  I have admiration for her doctor, who did not immediately dish out pharmaceutical preparations to lower her blood pressure, but instead recommended that she eat some fresh dandelion leaves each day. Dandelions are a very healing herb, and I believe every household should nurture a few in the cottage garden, or in plant pots at the door.  They ...

The fear of being sued by the companies who manufacture the weedkiller is probably the reason for their seemingly indecisive statement, ...

July 2nd, 2015

Natural Remedies For Treating Cancer Intravenous Ascorbic Acid in the Treatment of Influenza: Lack of Evidence or Incontrovertible Ignorance? 'Unfortunately, as long as IV/C has the potential to bankrupt hospitals, it doesn't matter how well it works.'  (Professor Ian Brighthope, quote from http://www.vitamincfoundation.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9950) Vitamin C is antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial, and acts as an antihistamine.  It helps the body detoxify, which is why it is such a valuable remedy to use in alternative cancer treatments. Causes of Cancer Article In NZ Listener 2015 Has Major Omissions

June 2nd, 2015

Cancer Is A Political Disease, as Doctor Samuel Epstein famously wrote. This article about cancer, which featured in this week's NZ Listener,  May 16-22, 2015, was yet another gloss-over of the real, underlying causes of most cancers. Remember that book by Samuel B. Epstein, 'The Politics Of Cancer'?  Epstein's concerns in the 1970,s or early '80's are as relevant today as they were then. One thing the Listener article had right:  Just because you carry a gene which might increase your chances of getting cancer, carrying the gene does not mean that you need to succumb to the disease.  Most cancers can be ...
