Reece Mastin Will Win X Factor Australia 2012

January 25th, 2012

Mick Jagger look-alike?  Reece Mastin has the look of the young Rolling Stones rocker, Mick Jagger, and can sing just as well.  Perhaps he is a distant relative of Mick?  Or his grandson?  Both  have sensuous, luscious lips,  winning smiles, dynamic performances, and both were born in the United Kingdom, so who knows?  This boy, who is only 15 and is still at school, is simply incredible.  What a voice.  What a performer.  And a nice personality to go with it.

Even if Reece is not voted the winner of the competition, as I am sure he will be, he  is bound to be offered recording contracts by numerous recording studios, who will be anxious to nab him for themselves.  He is a born winner.   Of all the X Factor contestants in the  2012 Aussie show, Reece Mastin  is the one and only flawless performer  who REALLY shines out brilliantly as a star.

The girls are a bit disappointing in this round.  The one girl who looks absolutely fantastic and whom the judges adored, really can’t sing that well.  There are some great groups = ‘The Three Wishez’ are pretty cool, especially the guy who did the rapping bits in tonight’s show of X Factor, 25th January 2012, NZTV3.

Audio Vixen, though, were stunning – Velvety smooth harmonies, luscious and rich – as beautiful as ‘Queen’ themselves.  Why on earth did the judges vote them out?  They obviously CAN sing – and sing SO well, yet two of the judges chose the boy who really CANT sing over Audio Vixen in tonight’s show Saturday 29 January 2012.  Such a pity.  Ronan Keating said that Audio Vixen were simply the best, and should not be going home.  Alas.

The older Andrew really has a very good voice, but his stage presence is not as commanding as that of Reece.

I also like Declan Sykes, another 15 year old.  Declan has a very pretty voice, an attractive personality, and is not afraid to entertain an audience.

However, I think that right at this moment, Reece Mastin is definitely the strongest performer of all, because he never loses his notes, or the momentum of a song.  His performance is just so thoroughly engaging and exciting, both on a musical and a theatrical level.  His command of his song, the stage and the audience make him the most worthy contestant to win X Factor Australia this year.

Thank God for music.  Thank God for the X Factor to brighten up our lives and reduce our worries on many matters just a bit, or quite a lot.  Pity that the show is brought to us by ‘Panadol Extra’, which we are far better without.

And a great pity that ‘Audio Vixen’ were voted out.  I only realized tonight that the two categories were to be combined, solo artists, and groups, and that only one winner could win.

I would have to give two prizes if I could – one to Audio Vixen, and one to Reece Mastin.
