Corporate Greed Behind New Food Bill.  This bill is being instigated, like the swoop on MegaUpload.com bosses and the closure of their site,  by corporate powers who have great influence on the  American government, and the governments of small nations like our own little New Zealand. 

It is the Christmas Holidays January 2012.  The government here is taking the opportunity, while everyone is away on holiday,  to push through a controversial bill which will give big corporations even more control of our food supply. Meanwhile, the government in America is taking advantage of the holiday period to push through legislation, namely the Senate Bill 968, which will impede our use of the internet and the freedom of speech.  Big corporations everywhere are working with speed and brute-force to gain complete dominance over the peoples of the world and our resources, simply so that they can increase their profits and keep protesters quiet.  Wiping out any competition is the goal of these mighty corporations.

First of all, let’s commend John Campbell on last night’s NZTV3, for having the courage to tackle the issue of the NZ government’s new food bill.  I received an email which expressed protest to the bill, and the fact that the media have done nothing about debating the issue to date.  Well – John Campbell is back after his holidays, and he has done this very thing.  He questioned a National party politician on telly last night, and accused her of looking after  big business interests in NZ, namely the supermarkets, instead of protecting the small business people, the organic farmers, the farmers’ markets, and anyone who makes any condiment out of home-grown products.

However, the New Zealand government’s new food bill will have a far-reaching effect on the people of New Zealand, well beyond that of simply giving more power and profit to the supermarkets.

This new food bill which NZ government is trying to push through, is actually being generated from America.  The American organization concerned is trying to dominate and monopolize the markets of the world, by getting this food bill made law in many countries.  If  our government decides to abide by the new outlines contained in this food bill, then we will be under the rule of thumb, and the scrutiny, of the American policing authority concerned.

The American government itself is a force to be reckoned with, now more than ever.  People who make the truth available to the public on issues such as American war crimes, such as the venerable  Julian Assange and Seargent Manning have done, can fear for their safety and their freedom.  Because freedom of speech and the so-called ‘free world’ are being attacked by an incredibly evil force.  You could call the evil force Satan, or you could call it Corporate Greed’.  Whatever, it is the same force which drives wars, which drives the huge pharmaceutical companies of the world, which makes and markets cancer-causing  herbicides and pesticides, which keeps many small nations in poverty, which drives alternative medicine and life-styles into oblivion, and which controls the necessary requirements of life, such as food, water and power.

This new bill is out to control the food chain.  Even seeds themselves are under threat, with the powers that be endeavoring to patent them.  If the bill is enforced, it will mean that giving away seeds from a vegetable plant you have grown could become an illegal act.  This is because the new ruling will classify plant seeds as ‘explicitly controlled substances’,  just like drugs.  In effect, the new law will act like a patent on all seeds, making them the property of the big corporations.

Already, most seeds that you buy from the big seed companies are  adulterated, genetically modified so that they will produce only one crop.  This is so that you have to go back to the shop the following year to BUY more seed from the supplier, as the seed from the old plant will not produce anything – if the plant produces a seed at all.  Many of these new gnetically modified seeds will grow a vegetable, but will not produce a seed-head.  This suits the seed-producing corporations, as their profits are increased if we can’t grow our own seed.

Genetically modified seeds which will not produce another generation of food, are an especially evil thing.  For a start, the practic of manipulating the quality of seeds to further profit, because we have to keep buying them year after year, is an evil thing. 

But the practice also threatens our very existence here on earth.   Imagine -  if there is some disaster which prevents commercial seeds being made available to us, or they become too expensive to buy,  then we will all starve, unless we have illegally stockpiled an array of original old seeds.

Freedom Of Speech is being eroded right now:  Anyone, or any practice which might threaten the current order of government/corporate control is silenced, either by trumping up a charge which will put them behind bars for a few years, or by cleverly devising new laws which will further reduce any competition for big business. 

Freedom of Life-Style Choice is also under threat. This new food law will reduce competition for the big corporations, enabling them to make higher profits at the expense of the general public, who won’t have the choice of buying good original seed anymore.  And, to boot, anyone giving away good seeds, or those who protest to the arrangement, could be fined or put behind bars.

What is the world coming to?   Sounds like Armageddon, which, as the Reader’s Digest Great Illustrated Dictionary says, is  a) the scene of a final battle between the forces of good and evil, or b) any great conflict causing widespread destruction.
